Right. I'm scared of Knaaren. But only when you don't know where one is, and it appears right behind you.

I think the Nettles gave me quite the shock in the day, back when I didn't know exactly where they'd pop up. Though they didn't scare me - I've always found the idea of swinging plants quite funny.

Spiders, despite me being arachnophobic, have never creeped me out, perhaps because they're unrealistic.

I was never a fan of the introduction of the spiders theme.

I wasn't really a fan either but hey i don't mind spiders.

When I was a 5 years old child and I got my first Rayman game (TGE) i was afraid by Axel and Jano. I ended TGE on level Cave of Dreams and I didn't wanted to play or something else(I didn't remember, it was 10 years ago....). In this summer I returned to Rayman games, and after beating many of them I think that a little bit scary would be only spiders at Canopy. But guys, I have got arachnophobia!

I got creeped out with those enemies in those dark underwater levels of Rayman Origins.

Zombie Chickens and Caterpillars from Rayman 2. Mostly in the toxic water part of Tomb of the Ancients (ZC) and the center of the orbs places in Cave of Bad Dreams

Zombie Chickens scared the living shit out of me in my first run on R3.

Zombie Chickens in The Tomb of the Ancients startled me sometimes, but only because they appear with a sudden burst of that eerie whisper sound and a second later you get hit in the face. Also, they can appear behind camera, which means you'll never know where they'll be coming from.

Caterpillars startled me for exactly the same reasons. You're just climbing along some cobwebs and then suddenly they appear out of nowhere and attack you.

When I was younger, I found the scariest characters to be Jano (from R2) and also the Knaaren (from R3).

The only characters that still "scare" me today, though, are enemies from R1. Because every time I see one I'm like "Oh CRAP!!". Those enemies are deadly. They are so hard to defeat sometimes, one hit can often be lethal (when you're on low health) and they can easily push you off platforms. Enemies in R1 pose a major threat to me so when they suddenly appear because of a gendoor, it does startle me.

Rayman was scary to me as a kiddo...

Also, this concept for Rayman Legends is pretty creepy. But also kind of cool at the same time. I just like seeing creepy monster things in otherwise family friendly games.

I like it when people play with what others would call 'unsuitably horrific for children'. Usually, it turns out kids love the scary stuff more than the adults do. It may be why nightmare stories and movies like Coraline and the Nightmare Before Christmas turn out so good, but maybe that's just because they've got good stories to begin with.

It was a long time ago, during my second or third run of Rayman 2, I don't remember.

I was in the Cave of Bad Dreams, and I carried the yellow magic sphere in the big room with the magic pyramids.

When I was near the end of the tunnel, a Caterpillar has passed at the entrance of the tunnel. I thought I was in safe, because I was far of her.

But suddenly, she has turned toward Rayman and she has jumped on him, in the tunnel. I have seen her creepy yellow eyes and her black fur in close-up.

Because of this event, I was frightened of the big Caterpillars during a long time. And of the small ones too.

And because of this, the Caterpillars are the only (seriously) characters in the Rayman games that I've always hated.

The Knaaren didn't haunt my nightmares like the Mini-Janos did...
The Zombie Chickens from Rayman 3 did make my skin crawl, but no other creature from the Rayverse has ever frightened me to the same level as the Mini-Janos.

Oh god, yes, that tune!

Am I the only one who got scared of... Murfy? O_o When I was playing Rayman 2 first time, Murfy's face and whisper made me feel nervous.
