I guess ubisoft will hint the return of razorbeard with tons of pirate references only to give us the hype and then show us that the real bad guy was the Musician all the time, who was a great fan of Razorbeard and started cosplaying as a pirate to organize an evil army of monsters to betray rayman...
Oh yeah, and the Musician became evil for some dumb reason, such as...pfft... who knows... he was raped as a kid by the pope or something, maybe the crack took control over his mind... whatever

Nice plot. I guess we don't want to see the Musician sober.

I was there when he was sober... That was one crazy Tuesday...

Rayman Legends sounds like it could be hinting at the fact that mythology will be involved. Not necessarily human mythology, but maybe gods like the Leptys and others would make an appearance? OMG. Just thinking about the fact that a giant ancient bird among other things could appear in the next Rayman game gives me so much hope this game could succeed. Then again the title "legends" could just be something random they pulled out of the ground. (You know, that place where the Livid Dead is?)
Something of less significance that I've been wondering about: In Rayman 3 when you enter the Livid Dead Globox states he was expecting a scary place. This could be because of the scary title, or maybe because of the fact Globox had been there before, fighting off evil undead grannies maybe? before people start telling me spiral has already written about this, listen. (or read, either way) Rayman Origins could be an inbetweenquel, set between Rayman 2 and 3. I know it's not of much importance, and not much to go off, but it's a thought.

I just, I don't even
But it would make more sense if his wife was evil. She has a bit of a hidden psychopathic vibe in her expressions.

This is offtopic but I just changed my location, and I was reading other peoples to see if there were any Strange and made-up ones, but am I the only one to notice RayFan's location is Spanex's Basement? Should I send a warning to Spanex or is Spanex already aware of this?

No, she's well aware of my current location. In fact, pre-Spanex's basement, I was subsiding in MLII's.

Clearly it wasn't crazy enough, or you would have used a word slightly more dated than "crazy."

So I take it you've seen this?
http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/video-ra ... ity/095175
Some notes:
- Game has 3D elements, but the characters are still the same sprites that have been edited to look more water painting like.
- There is actually a couple cases where you can see frames of Globox sprite that have not been edited to the new colouring style yet, proving they are using the same sprites.
- Playable Betilla....I think? She looks rather different if it is her, maybe younger?
- Lots of online and offline mulitplayer modes.
- Wii U features: manipulate platforms etc with touch controls on the Wii U controller screen.
- Here's the biggie: Skylanders like toy feature. Shows a heart toy being placed on the screen that gives the characters more health/maybe some kind of invincibility.
- Shows a Rabbid toy being placed on Wii U controller screen, unlocks a level where you are beating up 2D animated Rabbids. Also hints at the Assassins Creed guy having some kind of feature, but only teases about it.
Mind blowing stuff, I'm hyped.

Wow, you truly are the king of findings!
I'm still a bit iffy on the setting and how it looks a bit too realistic, but I'm really, really enjoying the new shaded sprites and graphics. The music also sounds great.
Beating up rabbids? I never thought I'd say this, but I like the idea of them being in this game!

His name is Ezio, Gagaman, ET-zee-oh, and this is a big deal! At least it is to me anyway, since I'm quite an avid Assassin's Creed fan.

Now this is looking much better! They still have a lot of work to make something original out of the levels seen in the video, but they seem on the seem to be heading in the right direction. Not sure the Rabbids were needed though.

I can't see it... and otherwise there could probably be some color differences, but other than that, I have no idea.
Have you played R1/2 and R3? If so,you should totally notice.
Yes, I have. (It all started years ago, in a... no, let's skip 'the storytime') In that case there are differences,
but comparing RO2 to RO1...
Lets see, the shoes in Origins and R1 are not super different, but still different. Origins wears a hoodie, whereas R1 wears a neckerchief. Origins has messy hair, and R1's is very fine, stranded and kept. Also, R1's proportions are much softer and rounder, reminiscent of a younger Rayman.
I meant Rayman Origins 1 to its sequel.
People seem to be saying he looks different, same as Globox... not sure if they compared RO1 to RO2 or RO1/RO2 to R1/2/3.
Anyways, after seeing the trailer... it looks even better.
It's gonna be epic, I think. I'm just not sure why the Rabbids had to show up again..even if they can only appear in the game by your own choice (and you can beat them up real hard..

).
I'm not sure how the storyline's going to unfold - but I bet they're gonna make something good out of it. Let's hope they still keep some previous worlds though, along with a deeper plot this time.

Lol sorry, wrote it in a hurry and haven't ever played those games. I suspect it will unlock a level inspired by the era in the games rather than an unlockable Ezio, but who knows at this point. Looking forward to seeing what other Ubi franchises will get featured, like maybe a level based on the original Prince of Persia..
Also I like how in that scene of the trailer you could see the McDonalds Globox Rayman 2 toy sitting there. I doubt the game will scan these already available figures though, they will most likely need to make new toys that have some sort of scannable image on the bottom like Skylanders for it to work. I just hope this doesn't become something every game company has a crack at: if this idea goes overboard they will oversaturate it like what happened with the plastic Wii attachments.
As for the Rabbids add-on level: gotta admit I was hoping this would happen at some point to see anti-rabbids Rayman fans go batshit about it, but also because Rabbids are always rather cool looking in 2D and they look fantastic here.

guys not sure if anyone has seen this, but you really must watch
Link to leaked trailer posted below, better get on this before ubi take it down!

EDIT: Supposedly this is a trailer for a leaked rayman origins sequel, however ubi don’t want it up because it hasn’t been announced yet and it shows footage of the new ‘wii-u’ console that hasn’t been seen before
