I made a Rayman 3D Trailer
I voiced over it. you might have to skip the beginning to get to the trailer.
And this. . .

Re: Rayman 2
Is the gog.com version like stuck in 16bit or something? I can play at 1920x1080 fine apart from the fact the color is 16bit

Re: Rayman 2
How did you manage to play it at that resolution? Even through modifying the initial startup setting in its windows directory I wasn't able to achieve this, but I'm not using the GoG version.R@yman1995 wrote:Is the gog.com version like stuck in 16bit or something? Re: Rayman 2
If you have an nVidia or ATI/AMD graphics card control panel (they usually have a fancy UI), then you may be able to force it to run in 32-bit through there.

Re: Rayman 2
Remember that I bought the Rayman 2 game from PSN some time earlier because of sales? Just came to tell you guys something about it.
The graphical quality is terrible. Low screenresolution, first gen graphics, and on top of that, 20 frames per second(?!). It's not all negative though. It's actually funny to look at at times. It reminds you of how crappy everything looked back in those days.
Interestingly, it has got no gibberish. That's right; it's using english voice-acting. Probably the same as Revolution, that would be obvious. But gee, those actors hardly tried to get into character, did they?
It's interesting to see Rayman 2 on another console though. Much of this version is different from the PC one, so I'm curious about playing this further to discover more differences.

I think the "emulation" that the PS3 does makes the game look even uglier. (Thank god I own a real PS2)Spanex wrote:Remember that I bought the Rayman 2 game from PSN some time earlier because of sales? Just came to tell you guys something about it.

The framerate is short and the voice cast is weaker than RR's, but I still find this version enjoyable.

It is a port of the PS1 version, though I don't recall it lagging ever on the original hardware...Spanex wrote:Remember that I bought the Rayman 2 game from PSN some time earlier because of sales? Just came to tell you guys something about it.

The low-res and graphics are to expected, since the console is not very powerful compared to the others, to such an extent that the 1000 lums were dropped to 800.
The voice acting is bad, but I had to deal with it.
Wait until you reach the Sanctuary Of Stone and Fire, once past the first area, it's unrecognisable at times.
I must admit, the PS1 version (the version on PSN) was the first version I ever played, so it could be possible I am being biased towards it.
Re: Rayman 2
The worst voice cast was the Italian one. Oh my god, Rayman seemed to be completely indifferent to everything that was happening in the game. Just try to listen the Italian dialogues in my channel and you'll see what I mean.Master4lyf1 wrote:It is a port of the PS1 version, though I don't recall it lagging ever on the original hardware...Spanex wrote:Remember that I bought the Rayman 2 game from PSN some time earlier because of sales? Eeeeeh?! Is that the reason why? I would have never guessed.Master4lyf1 wrote: ...since the console is not very powerful compared to the others, to such an extent that the 1000 lums were dropped to 800.

Re: Rayman 2
It was outsourced by their Shanghai team, who also made Rayman Rush, that's why.
I got it in the sale as well anyway, just for the sake of having it on my HDD.

Re: Rayman 2
I showed the game to my mom. She said that Rayman looks like a dog. It's obvious she likes Origins much better. XD

My cousin said exactly the same.Spanex wrote:She said that Rayman looks like a dog.

When I still had a babysitter to watch over me and I showed her the game, she thought he was a bunny.Danone wrote:My cousin said exactly the same.Spanex wrote:She said that Rayman looks like a dog.

Re: Rayman 2
I've had Rayman been compared to Dogs, Cats, Bunnies and even a Bat!
Re: Rayman 2
Why the heck (to not say another thing) many people compare him so wrongly with a dog or a bunny?
They can't distinguish hair and ears?
It is also a crime and offensive to compare Rayman with a bunny.
