Well, it's true. In France, "petit déjeuner" is breakfast and "déjeuner" is lunch. I guess Canadian French has retained the more conservative literal meaning ("dé-" + "jeûne" = basically "un-fast" = "break-fast").

On another note.. It’s my birthday today!
Though the plans that i had in my head are slowly crumbling..
I was going to school, and then they just cancelled it because of the weather. But i was really looking forward to my classmates celebrating it. Birthdays are like the only thing that reminds my classmates that i actually exist, and i’m not some cardboard cutout.. Obviously, they wished me happy birthday on socials, but that feels a little bit less personal. Um, sorry if that bit sounded a bit arrogant or something..
And to top it off.. When i sat down on my bed, my cat started peeing on it And that’s not exactly pleasant..
But, i still have a whole day to go, right? So nothing is lost, my fellas! Or atleast i hope so..

Ah, well my class does the same thing. But last year, my classmates gifted me things! Which was very nice of them. Obviously, i’m not expecting any gifts from my classmates, just a happy birthday makes me already pleased Also, my English teacher buys chocolate bars for people who are having or had a birthday, like she doesn’t need to do that but she does, she’s so cool
