Rayman Pirate-Community

Has anyone ever wondered why he's refered to or named Ray MAN (aside from Raytracing which Im not referring to here), when clearly there is nothing 'man' or human about him at all? When I was young I used to think Rayman was actually a type of dog O.O

Besides that software thing, a "rule of cool" probably, him being named Rayboy or just Ray for an example wouldn't have had the same effect.

Wasn't "Rayman" itself the name of a piece of raytracing software they were using? Maybe it was internally-developed software since otherwise they surely couldn't have done that because of trademarks.

Of course, that doesn't really answer the question, since "man" makes even less sense in a software package name!

'Ryman' (Spelt exactly like that) is a stationary shop here in the UK ....thats a funny one XD

Come to think of it, "Pacman" makes even less sense than "Rayman" too – I guess it was just a trend back then in a male-dominated industry

Burning T-shirts because of what's printed on them? Isn't that like burning flags or books?

That could work, if the t-shirt was tied up to resemble a flag.

You don’t understand, these flawless shirts are filled with so much magic. By burning them, you release their essence into the air which will slowly fill the world with Rayman’s spirit.

Rayman's spirit is in fangames, I dunno what kind of stuff is in those shirts.
