Lovely models. Is it normal that the eyelids look a bit strange? You know, not being "blended" with the skin of the skull at the same time?

That's normal, at least when working with CryEngine. Since I use morph targets to animate the facial expressions and bones to animate the eyelids and hair, the two can't be combined together.

But as for the eyelids,it looks like you have both a model and textures for them at the same time.Why?
It's okay, but isn't Murphy supposed to speak really quickly and possibly sound a bit annoying (depending on whether you follow Rayman 2's or Rayman 3's version of him)?

More interesting in the sense that it's run by one individual with assistance from the rest of the community, fundamentally based upon wishes from the fandom itself. Bitch please. This got to be one of the most ignorant statements I've ever read on this board. This only proves that you're too blind to even realize what's residing outside your twisted world. Are you really underestimating all existing works in life that has been done voluntarily, by anarchism, groups or individuals? Even related to this context, have you ever looked at successful open source projects? Have you ever followed this thread actively to watch the demonstrations of this game in the more advanced state of its development? I seriously doubt it, because you couldn't care less about the community members and their works.

As you would know if you had bothered to check, I’ve been following this thread and posting in it since the day it was created, and as far as I can recall, I have never spoken an ill word against the project. I simply lost interest when the official Rayman series was revived. I know it’s not what you want to hear, but I’m simply not that interested any more. I have never denied that Rayfan’s work on Revenge of the Dark is impressive, but as I said, for me it doesn’t even approach the levels of quality and creativity present in the four main games of the Rayman series. I think it’s unfair to compare Rayfan with Michel Ancel, let alone with the entirety of Ubisoft Montpellier.

Sorry Patrick, I'm in full agreement with Spiraldoor on every single point he made. As a busy sixteen year old who still has a lot to learn and who doesn't have the experience nor fully developed brain of a developer in their thirties, I would never expect myself to be as creative (yet) as Ancel, let alone the entire Montipeller team.
I don't consider my work to be of any showcaseable value at the moment, as I'm still in the preliminary stages (though quite far through them), and the final product will have a much more detailed and pretty look than what it looks like currently. In my opinion, the current environment looks quite ugly when compared to the official games, though I plan, after finishing a large potion of the game, to find a few highly skilled modelers to recreate the assets in a much more professional quality and in much more creative detail.
No, I'm not anywhere near the "advanced" stages of development. I'm not even in the steady forward flow yet.
Storywise, I have a very solid idea, and I believe it's rather well written, but it isn't possible to explain it purely in words, as I want to keep those things preserved for the game, and I don't want to write a whole novel for you guys.
Spiraldoor is fully allowed to have his own opinions, and I entirely understand why he has lost interest after the announcement of Rayman Origins. My progress is slow, and most of the contet in this stage merely isn't all too interesting to most. However down the road, I hope to gain support and others' interest again, for both inspiration and possible assistance.

You don't seem to realize that you've accomplished so much as an individual teen compared to a much larger team like them, which is a huge achievement in my eyes. Ancel is not more creative than any other artist, just because his work is more publically known, but we sure all appreciate the awesomeness that was given to us. The issues taken up by Spiral disregards the potential of any project to be successful, just because they weren't funded by any corporation. And his other issue is also comparable to a "fanboy" that only follows the "officials" just because they own the intellectual properties. Of course Spiral can express his opinions, but it would be far more appreciated if he actually came up with something helpful, relevant and constructive, instead of boasting about his preferences at our faces. Other things that makes it difficult to debate with him in a case like this, is when he comes with self-contradictory arguments due to unclear or mixed meanings, and also when he moves the goalposts to ignore my points.
As for the project development being slow, you already told the solution yourself: To form a group of modelers to accelerate the progress. You've pretty much planned every detail so far. Your story is also an interesting elaboration of the existing series, breaking the barriers between their own stories for consistency. So far, I'm still patiently looking forward to all this, as I embrace the intuition and goal you have with it, unlike Spiral, who doesn't actually explain why it would be less creative than the official series.

I appreciate it. I don't want to actually think about what I have done so far in a white heavenly light though, as I don't want to blind my future quality goals, which are far higher than these. I must work and work, and eventually it will be complete. When that day comes, I may cry out of happiness and celebrate by having a huge party and inviting any and all RaymanPC members - it's on the house! But of course I'm just motivating myself to work by looking forward; it gives me a clearer idea of what needs to be done.
However, I'm still not sure where Spiral is 'contradicting' himself. His words seemed perfectly reasonable, even though I would be interested in an explanation. Not to prove him wrong at all, just purely out of curiosity so I know the thought process of a fellow individual in Ireland.

Probably not. I'm focusing this game's progression in sort of a cross between Rayman 2 and Rayman 3's level system. The levels themself will be longer than R2's, but not quite as long as R3's (although some may be just as long). It presents itself much in the manner that Rayman 3 did, where it is clearly a progressive storyline, but you can also literally travel back through your ''memories' to rectify the past and collect all the tings and cages you never collected or broke. After you complete the game, you can then travel freely between the worlds and collect the rest of the tings and cages in the present day. Collecting everything solves a certain subplot, and prepares you for Rayman 2.
