Sucks that the 3DS is region locked otherwise I'd have this game a lot earlier.

"Decent Price."

Rather just wait for it to be released.

Yeah I'd rather wait it out, considering how I still have so many games to finish at the moment.

Hey guys, I just remembered that Rayman facebook and twitter page was confirming Rayman will be trophy in both 3DS and Wii U versions. But 3DS version is out now in Japan and no Rayman trophy. A friend of mine beat the whole game and unlocked all trophies and no Rayman. Japanese Streamer Gema Yue also beat it and no Rayman. I am starting to wonder why was he scrapped from 3DS version. Here is where I retweeted them to show tweet as a proof and you can see also my friend confirming he beat the game:

Hmm, perhaps the initial tweet was a mistake. Or perhaps there might be something grander at work...hard to say at present.

So this has been happening to a lot of the competitive Smash players in Japan, lol. Yikes though, I've done a lot of quick movements with this thing for games like Kid Icarus Uprising so I'll try to be careful.

So I think we can confirm, while mostly the same, the new Smash Bros is just *slightly* faster than Brawl, very very slightly, it's a barely noticeable difference. Was hoping to see a speed inbetween Brawl and Melee but it seems like we got something a little to similar to Brawl. Ah well, game still looks great.

Should also mention I love the style of the 3DS Smash Bros FAR more than Brawl. The realistic tone of Brawl was always a turn off to me personally. I never cared when games like Zelda attemped the realistic style (I loved Twilight Princess), but seeing Mario like that just felt a little awkward. The style of the 3DS version looks better than Melee as well to my surprise, the characters have a lot of detail on them while still having that crazy/cartoony look to them that they did in Melee, it's an absolutely perfect blend, the way it should be. While Brawl had that brown, dull, realistic look to it that just felt out of place.

I liked the realistic style actually, but I also like the new, more normal Nintendo style. I don't think Melee was meant to look cartoony, I'm pretty sure it was also trying to look realistic like Brawl, but it didn't have the power to look as realistic as Brawl.

Also, that comparison video had them all looking very similar, certain attacks taking longer in each version, including Melee. There's no doubt that Melee was faster, but video didn't really show us anything informative. What we're looking for are physics and gravity.

Melee's got a bit of an awkward look. Visually it looks older to me than most GameCube games, although I do think it was one of the first games they worked on for the gamecube.

The 3DS version has mostly got trophies based on handheld titles, while the Wii U version will mostly get trophies from console games. That's why Rayman isn't in the 3DS version.

Also regarding the game speed - it's smack dab in the middle of Melee and Brawl. Ground speed is akin to Melee, Air speed is akin to Brawl (though still noticeably faster).

I like how the overall game feels better than any previous installment though. Mario certainly feels a lot better than he ever has, he is so agile and can combo like a madman. I've been using him as much as Mega Man.

I hear Mario is great for combo's but I can't get over the fact he still has that stupid fucking Fludd attack, no thanks.
Megaman 4 lyfe. Are people seriously that fucking impatient though that they need to import not only Japanese Smash Bros but a Japanese 3DS as well? A lot of the big gaming youtubers like Cobanermani456 or Egoraptor just spend there money on a Japanese 3DS asap to play it. I could do that but I'd rather be patient and wait.

Cobanermani456 had Japanese 3DS for a long time, he didn't buy it just because of Smash Bros.

Actually, Mario's FLUDD has seen a significant buff. In Brawl, the push back it gave was not significant enough to be useful. In the new Smash game, though, it has a much stronger push. It's now a really useful edge guarding tool (Mega Man and Link have a difficult time against it), and can even be used for recovery.

So is there something wrong with my circle pad? When trying to do up A moves I head into a charge attack. Like trying to do a shoryuken with Megaman is a really odd task when it shouldn't be.
