tfw you're not 100% sure what The Bog Of Murk translates to in Irish.

I know An Portach is The Bog, but de murk looks wrong and Irish doesn't have a literal translation for it, so I tried An Portach de gceo, which should be The Bog Of Mist.

I would translate it from the original French if I were to do a translation, so "les Marais Crapoteux" would become "na Corcaí Buafacha". But admittedly, I had to look up the Irish for "toad". :oops2: Also I think I used a different word for "marshes" in my Rayman 2 translation but whatever, the fact that it's so close to "Corcaigh" (Cork) makes it even funnier!

Either way, you shouldn't use "de" like that, it should be the Tuiseal Ginideach. :pascontent:

tfw you can't remember what word you used in your own translation of Rayman 2. :oops2:

That sounds oddly similar to what you wrote for your location, Tuisil Ghinidigh. Am I right in thinking the 2 translations aren't the same location?

tfw people think you're weird for staying in one place the whole day.

I knew it didn't seem right and I was thinking of going from the French version, but I had no idea how to translate French. :oops2:

I'll change it in a moment.

tfw you burn your finger off a sandwich maker.

The Tuiseal Ginideach is a grammar thing. My location means 'Land of the "Tuiseal Ginideach" and "Modh Coinníollach"', which are the two big scary grammar things that students of Irish shudder at. The fact that it's "Tuisil Ghinidigh" and "Mhodha Choinníollaigh" is itself an instance of the Tuiseal Ginideach.

tfw you explain the in-joke.

The Bog of Murk inside joke is our best one so far imo.

tfw a parent or grandparent likes your brother/sister/whatever better than you and always treats the person who is his/her favorite a lot better than you (always giving you "the middle finger" in a metaphorical sense). That just makes no sense in <'s opinion. Why do people have favorites, like really?

Indeed that joke is the best one!

The only other word for Marshes I can see is Riasca apparently.

tfw words have many meanings and you mess up the translations.

Riasca, that's the one! And Eig was getting drunk on "uisce na réisce", I remember now!

Sorry to pry, but are you absolutely sure that's what's going on? Or is it just hypothetical? :oops2:

tfw you see the actress who played a mean character on Frasier walking down courtroom steps, related to fraud charges.
