I haven't given special ranks for a while, and I'm not sure I will, unless we decide concrete conditions. I don't mind a few people having special ranks, but if everyone can ask for one, it kinda ruins the whole rank system. Any suggestions?

Hm, I dunno. A certain amount of tings perhaps? If that were the case, it'd probably be more than I have, but it'd be something to work for.

We could allow people to have special ranks above 200 000 Tings, but it's really huge. This is why I'm trying to think of something else.

What about being in teh top 5 for record day? Or being in the top ten posters?

I think your first idea sounds cool. Maybe the top five in record day could be assigned a special rank of their choice, for say, a month.

I think...every month (or something) there should be a "special" rank that no-one knows what it is and how many tings you need to get it.

I would find it good when one of these ideas would work. Then there's a special inducement to make the community more active, too.
