I was and am 26 and it took me until I heard grab those red things OK then what's the matter ain't you never played a video game before and then I realised

When you didn't realise that when Ssssam is dragging you along you can actually duck down.

For me it was more like five months, but yeah, they really could have made that clearer.

Took me about 5 minutes to figure that out but to be fair a 26 yo vs a kid under 10 isn't a fair comparison

Are you talking about the wall jumping section at the beginning of the third segment, or the end of it?
I don't recall having an issue with either of them in my original playthrough, and I thought the game did a pretty good job explaining it's mechanics.

I think they're probably talking about the start where you climb over the Knaaren. It didn't take me that long to find out but as a kid I probably would have been wondering what to do. Then again I usually always explore in games. I had no problem at the end myself.

The beginning. There's just a red lum in a little alcove, with nothing to suggest that you need to jump up in there. The wall-jumping mechanic hadn't been encountered since the Fairy Council, so slower players probably wouldn't even remember it.

As a consolation, the level is clearly unfinished: if you do get behind the Knaaren you teleport back to the beginning, meaning the devs meant to do something else there. Also the score required for 100% suggests they intended to have a secret room somewhere in the level.

I also had a glitch on this level on PS2 where one of the eggs for the switch never appeared so I had to restart.

Though to be fair it turns out my PS2 was broken

I apologise for all the complaints about it not working properly but I fixed it now so you won't hear anymore complaints

That egg thing on PS2 is quite common as far as I know… But when I said "unfinished" I was referring only to the third section, the one that confounded so many people (well, me and SteltzenBomber, but also Acarr, MrBadGuy and probably quite a few others).

The missing egg in DOTK? Happened to me on my first run through Rayman 3 PS2 all those years ago, still completely confounded as to why that happened. T'was the final egg at the end of the first level, if memory serves.

It is probably fairly misleading to casual players if that's the case, however the game makes it very clear that you should not go near the Knaaren, this suggests to the player that he needs to find other methods to sneak by.

I think if I played it back when it was brand new out I likely would've had the same problem on that level, but the teensie does say little grasshopper you must not go near the Knaaren.

The only thing now is if they do bring out a new Rayman they can patch the glitches but I hope they don't release an extremely buggy game relying that they can just try fix everything afterwards. I hate when that happens and Ubisoft do that a lot lately. Brilliant games but a lot of glitches that require patches happen very often.

Oh and yeah it was the final egg for me too. I got really confused and had to just press load game.

That happens if and only if you play the game constantly without turning it off.

When multiple raymen automaticly dies for no reason because you made the rayman you controled jumped of a cliff.
