You're too optimistic if you think Rayman's gonna talk in Rayman Legends, seriously. Since the Rabbids series he's all like "heh!" "hey!" "huh!" "yeeeeeeeeeeah, RAYMAN!" "UYUYUYUY" and "yeeeeeh!"

I didn't say he'd talk. I only want his voice to sound good, not wacky and bratty.

Yeah. And I want it. So he sounds like in the game I had when I was a kid. So he sounds good.

What a world we live in :pfff: Its arguable, but Rayman 2 was the best game of the series in many ways and whatever fan doesn't like it should be escorted into the cock-sucking section of hell.

I disagree. For me Rayman 1 was the best for the difficulty, the level design, the backgrounds, the soundtrack and the athmosphere.

I also enjoyed Rayman 2 but Rayman 3 was disapointing for bringing stupid and easy jokes that remaine in the serie since.
(I know i won't make friend after saying that)

I didn't make a new friend. What are you talking about?

Hey, don't be so negative, if you don't like Rayman 3's jokes, then that's fine by me, and most of the others here too.
Besides, I'm pretty sure there are other members who didn't like the humour either.
As for me, I'll admit I chuckled at one or two, but I'd rather not let jokes not be the main attraction, what I like the most from the games is the atmosphere, which the crummy jokes do have a tendency to detract from.

I don't like Rayman 3's jokes either, and Rayman is way too proud of himself. I prefer the modest Rayman from Rayman 2.

I guess that I got the sentence above as a solidly connected one by mistake? In R3 Rayman rarely says anything at all, bragging rights included.

Even so, the situations in R1/R2/R3 are very, very different than ones in RO and probably RL. Just compare the stark contrast between the Glade's situation as of R2 (pirates, pirates everywhere, except in places filled with monsters and generally dangerous) and as of RO (sure, Dark is said to return, some nymphs and Electoons got jailed... and what? The only thing heroes know for sure is that they have been attacked for being noisy).

EDIT: To be or not to be.

In the Hoodstomper parts, when you take those enormous legs Rayman praises himself all the time, and when Murfy first mentioned Globox he said something like 'He's so coward he's probably hiding somewhere' (I can't tell the exact quote, my game isn't in English). I think that's pretty mean talking about his best friend. I see Rayman way too confident, like 'I'm the biggest hero ever and I know it'.

In Rayman 2, indeed, he seemed a little less confident. He was determined, sure, and confident in the fact that he would give it his best to ensure he would help stop the Pirates any way he could, but he knew they were a real threat and that he might not be able to make it 'til the end.
His kind and calm nature I can derive specifically from one line he says in The Canopy, when he's trying to reassure Globox that there's no shame in being afraid of the Pirates:
"There's no shame in being scared, you know. The Warship and the Pirates are very dangerous!"
Then his next line reinforces my previous statement, that he knows that he may not be fit enough to handle them:
"Oh, if only I had more of my powers..."

However, I believe the Rayman 3 Rayman would have handled the situation very differently. He may have been scared of the Pirates - sure, the R3 Rayman knows what's bad for him - but ultimately, he probably would have laughed about it all. Maybe I'm a little hard on him though; he does fall into the nasty situations without being able to do much about that and he does celebrate only great achievements. He may dress differently and be proud of himself in a more extravert manner than seen in R2, but he's got a reason to be happy about: beating a tough adversary is no small feat.

Now, the Origins Rayman would have responded in a completely different fashion. He would turn to the Pirates with his cheeky, silly grin and his slap-happy fists and probably Globox wouldn't be running away for them, but not because they're courageous, more because they don't have half a clue about whether or not their foe may be able to kill them. They seem to respond to every situation quite primitively by slapping away 'til the problem disappears - something that works though, surprisingly enough; I wonder if there's a moral in there... - and never show the slightest form of compassion, fear or kindness. In Rayman 3, at least he had the common decency to help get his friend to a bunch of wackjob doctors, and near the end, he showed true concern about the possibility that Globox had crashed, fallen down and died.

I know it's a bit insipid to analyse the games like this so seriously, but I do like the speculation. I've said that before. ;)

I... guess.... that this is something... normal? Sure, that may sound mean, but the situation does not allow for sophisticating the sentences. Globox may be Rayman's best friend, but do you remember that this is just after ran off with Rayman's hands? A lot of people would react in a worse way if their loved one, not friend, did something like that.

Praising yorself... well, when Rayman managed to win a harder battle, he would praise himself a little, but that's something completely different than going with "the biggest hero" attitude. Although I may be biased cause I still remember KI:U's character called Pyrrhon, which was really full of himself, I even find it a little self-deprecating - Rayman does it only after harder battles, so basically ones he thinks he could lose.

I like how they're not releasing too much about the game this time around. I feel like the Daily Bubbles were either too much spoiler or too much hype to try living up to. There's not a lot of games that could look really good after that much promotion of material that was in fact only conceptual (art).

Good thing they aren't releasing "Too much" about the game...I don't want to hear any spoilers.

It's not Rayman's characterization that bothered me in R3, it's Globox's. In Rayman 2, while he was far from being clever, i agree, he was still not so retarded, was rather rationnal and kind character. He acted a bit clumsy, coward and had been captured twice, but otherwise, he was helpful and aware of everything that happened.
In Rayman 3 and origins, he got an awful Flanderization , he is no more a kind character. He's EXTREMLY retarded, EXTREMLY clumsy and a total looser. He's so stupid and irrational (like speaking to flowers, thinking André is his friend,...), we wonder why Rayman is friend with him.
In other words, Globox is now a parody of what he used to be in Rayman 2 and everybody seem to only remember Globox's personnality from the third game.

EDIT: I don't mean R3 is a bad game. I enjoyed it but it's just I'm not into parody games.
