I have to say, I find this resurgence of the 00s era internet to be quite charming. Honestly, with the absolute shitshow the modern net seems to be, I do miss those times.

I can definitely agree there. The mid 2000s net is something I really miss also, hence why I've got Flashpoint to mess around with whenever I get nostalgic. Anybody could make anything, and all the various styles and aesthetics from one game/animation to the next was just the most amazing thing to me, right next to the music.

Haha thanks! It's funny how anachronistic sigs are as an idea these days, but man back in the heyday of forumming sigs were an artform in themselves. This one of mine I made back like what...8 years ago now? Time is a scary thing. I don't even have sigs turned on anymore, but I'm glad it still brings a nice vibe to those who can see it.

Hell yeah, nowadays it's just a "cool" website which it's actually a website with ads embedded everywhere

I need to make a sig at some point myself. Also my Christmas Rank is gone, aw. It was fun while it stuck around, I guess. I've definitely ranked up in the meantime though!

I’ve made a Spacehey recently, as well, i just have to learn how to code in here, because it’s kinda confusing, i know how to code, it’s just..Where i am supposed to put all that code in? And also, how do i really find people that i like?

It depends for me. I say if it’s heavily bright and colourful, then it’s better, but if it has that archaic 90s corporate look, then I much prefer today. Also, I’d say the modern internet is better for the sole reason that it’s incredibly convenient, but (like what is actually happening now!) I’d prefer it to be a mishmash of both types of web

Ehh, I wouldn't necessarily call 90s web pages archaically corporate. While there was definitely a design language that was starting to form, it was also a lot more simpler, and whether or not it'd be corporate or just simply the beginnings of the common web standards coming into play which everyone, from indies to corpos were using, happened to be the case.

As for modern web design, it's definitely a lot slicker, though I'll concede I don't like how opaque it can be at times, it feels like there's a ton of things happening in the background and you can't trust it's all good.

Now in the days of old, I point you to the direction of someone like Serza or MrBadGuy amongst others, there used to be a subcommunity of folks who used to make sigs for other members for tings...alas I think that practice had died out.
