Scientifically, no. If you read onto the Optics section:

In the visible spectrum, white reflects light and is a presence of all colors, but black absorbs light and is an absence of color

There are literally no similarity's between the two. While its all just speculation at this point it looks like some kind of friend only to be found in Picture City.

I would personnally think that it looks like a (overly racist) cartoon Louis Armstrong. If I had to guess, I would say he's the beta-model for mister Sax.

I've been looking for large Rayman-related images to perhaps make an unofficial Rayman poster on http://rasterbator.net/. Does anyone have any large digital photos of anything Rayman related, like promotional art or screenshots?

What I meant with my previous post is that since black and dark have a link, Ubisoft decided to change to dark since it would sound better (and probably avoid misunderstandings with the name). I am not saying the humanoid figure and Mr. Dark are the same individual. The eye colour is not even equal and there are no evidences. Period.
