I think I didn't explain well, damaging in terms of having the risk of corrupting the save data of the game. At least what I noticed on my PS3 was a self-reset and self-hard drive check in search of corrupted data. Sorry for any mistake in the phrasing.

Wait, there's a crash glitch in TTOTL's 3rd part? I've never run into it. But, I have run into a problem where the game freezes just as I reach the end of a level usually before the game goes to save, or when I enter a level and pause the game. It only started happening after the first time I played through, and when I back tracked to try and get the 100% trophy it froze at least once every few hours only during a transition screen.

I've encountered the crash 3-4 times, a crash that can actually corrupt your ps3 data, now that is just cruel.

Well from what I'm understanding, it will only corrupt the save data you have for R3HD. Whenever you manually power down the game console while it's still in use, it's considered an improper shut down because there were still things running at the time. The check is just to make sure that if anything was being overwritten at the time it can either restore it to it's last functioning state or get rid of it if it causes the system harm. It's like when you shut off a PC by holding the power button instead of telling the computer to shut down. You get the same kind of thing when you boot it back up warning you that the system wasn't shut down right. I don't think the crash can actually mess up your PS3.

Well it has luckily never damaged anything, I've just gotten messages of "PS3 Corruption" after the freezing, but it does a whole restore process, luckily though, nothing affected, but still, freezing is no good. Rayman 3 HD had a lot of flaws- it was a bit disappointing, and I was REALLY looking forward to it, the trophies were all still really fun to get. You've got your crazy textures, rainbow colored water, game crashing, fps problems, few pixelized textures which of course there should not be. I would say there are few improvements here and there- and it's still the wonderful Rayman 3 we know and love- but I find it a little bit difficult to enjoy when encountering these problems. I luckily 100% finished the HD version, along with all the trophies, I may re-create my score on it someday for fun- but for now it really is out of the question- I'll stick alongside the PC version.

There is a way to play the PC version at HD resolutions, but it does screw up the HUD and cutscenes don't show.

I don't want to sound a bitch but I think this is Ubisoft's reply to everybody who was complaining that Rayman 2 had too many ports

. At least these didn't freeze and were fully playable anyway.
But I feel sad about people that were waiting for a port. If they have a good keyboard and don't mind playing in a computer, they always have an alternative in GOG.com.

Exactly. People, including me, have always gotten sick of the fact that R2 had a port on pretty much every fucking thing in the universe, meanwhile R3, not so much. Granted, they could have done a better job on the HD versions...but it's too late now. I'm sure Ubisoft, or another company, will port it on other consoles, and hopefully do a better job, eventually. Only time can tell.

Nay, I thoroughly disagree, they did a fantastic job on the HD ports. They were almost a third as awe-inspiring as Rayman DS.

Rayman DS is without doubts the worst port of the R2 but at least it doesn't crash at any point.

More like a THUMB sore on the DS lite, surprised I didn't get joypad thumb (or blisters, if you never had them there) from playing it and it was no better on the 3DS circle pad.

Ha, the only thing i like about Rayman 3DS, is the 3D, but i've never actually played the 3DS version, is it any good? Don't ever play RDS on a DSI XL.. Ouch.

Picking up a guitar once in your life for about an hour should fix the issue. :>
