Shit uh.. cuz they were allies with some of the other countries i think? Canada had no choice but to join the war because it was still a uk colony

Well, yes but not completely. Even though they technically should’ve after France and Russia joined (due to the 1907 Triple Entente) but they were rather hesitant. The straw that broke the camels back was the German invasion of Belgium, where both the countries agreed it’d stay neutral. Half point (P.S. visited lots of Canadian soldier graves when we went to Belgium, in case you were curious
