At first i looked at the costumes and was like :hehe: but after watching in a video somewhere ancel explained; each costume would give rayman control of a specific music genre which when used against the rabbid's sensitive big ears would have a range of effects. Now doesn't that sound bloody sweet!

No, because it signifies a direct correlation between the rabbids and the costumes, meaning that the rabbids will play a large role in the game.

Well they sorta are.. taking over the glade and all. An army of zombie rabbids (their main intention) wouldn't go down very easy without a clever weakness

Eh, I doubt any of us really include the RRR games in the timeline.

Well, you shouldn't doubt it, this news pretty much confirms that the rabbids are canon :? Maybe they just got bored of the Glade and went to Earth, or somehow Rayman got rid of them before the events of Rayman Origins.

Even if the costumes were bad, I don't care, I just want to play the game. :pascontent:
Hoodlum1 wrote:THIS. The game had so much potential :( It actually felt like a crossover between R2 and R3!! It had nearly everything; teensies, costumes with powers, a story plot, ridable creatures etc. SERIOUSLY the one who decided to scrap all that....
Do you know who the person is that decided to scrap all of this is? MICHEL ANCEL HIMSELF.

In my opinion, the first Rayman 4 project, with the return of the bandland and the picture city was even beter than the scrapped Raving Rabbids.

No you are wrong, sergiomonty stated this in the previous page.
sergiomonty wrote:According to Michel, a lot of content had to be scrapped, A LOT, because Nintendo asked them to focus more on the gimmicks.
Perhaps Michel scapped some it yeah, but most of it wans't his choice

Well, I'm unsure of that, but I think heard that sometime ago, the same time he confessed that the rabbids were invented thanks to certain magazine's preasure during certain interview.

I don't think that Nintendo forced Ubi to work on the gimmicks. AFAIK, it was the Ubi development team themselves (I believe Loǐc Gounon was involved) who decided to scrap the good game for the stupid party game. At this stage, Michel Ancel's work was done, so he had no way to stop it (or perhaps even know about it).

What's done is done, as much as I'd love to know the circumstances behind those fateful events which changed the franchise forever, we can only speculate unless told what occurred.

You know, there was this wonderful thing set up this one time, like, a year ago, that gave the people hope for answers. And they would come. And they're still due.

And so we wait.

That interview, I think it was one of the triggers that caused me to ascend from being a mere skulker to a fully fledged member.
