Soo...
MS listened well, and reversed the DRM, props to them for doing so, though I wonder if the damage has been done already.

There is now.
Anywho I totally give props to Microsoft for reversing what they did, however I'm not sure whether we should thank Microsoft, or the people constantly complaining and sending them death threats. :p

THE EVIL OF OUR WORLD HAS BEEN LOCKED BEHIND BARS AND CHAINED IN THEIR OWN MISERY. THEY WILL MEET DOOM AND DARKNESS. THEY WERE NONE OTHER THEN THE ROTTEN, UGLY, ILLEGAL, TERRIFYING, HARMONY DESTROYING REGION LOCKERS!

Now if only they would remove the need for that stupid camera to be plugged in. :P

*EDIT*

Nope, seems they won't remove Kinect.

Clip from the article:
“We still absolutely believe in Kinect. It’s a core part of the architecture. Frankly, it’s really critical that you build it as something that’s always there, always part of the platform. So that game creators, experience creators can know they can rely on it. And you, the user, that there’s always a consistent experience. That it’s not just an accessory.”

If they feel strongly about it, then so be it, the major issue that I think many were quick to put down was the DRM issue, so, I guess this does level the field quite a bit.
However, for the time being, I'm not sure what to make of all of this gen, best thing to do is wait and see, I guess.

Hopefully they won't suddenly change their mind about their policies with a surprise update after people has done bought their Xbox One.

Bill Gates: "Alright idiots, I mean customers, play time is over. Now it is my time to play with your hard earned money  "

Last I checked, Gates hasn't been at the helm of MS for quite some time now.
Either way, let it go, just let events play out.

Indeed, I share Rulez's sentiment, Gates has been involved with charity work aplenty.

I absolutely agree with this, because, like it says, it's part of the way the console functions. I like that a lot actually, as it shows that the console is willing to move in a new direction, instead of constantly focusing on methods we've been recycling now for nearly forty years. It's far from stupid in my opinion.

I happen to like the old school method. :P

But I suppose in a way, they are trying to take it to another level, like Nintendo did with the Wii where you have to use movements on certain games.

Who doesn't? You need to experience the new one properly to be able to like it as well, as with anything.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Or should I say... don't make it more complicated that it actually is. :P

Tonight I was watching this AVGN show, which kinda explains easily what's the problem that most people have with the "evolution" of gaming:

To be honest, I have no problem with motion controllers... they're okay for entertaining kids... but for adult people, you must be kidding. It's like that Smart TV shit... most adults are fucking tired, they prefer to push a button instead raising a hand or talking to nobody by saying "NEXT CHANNEL". Indeed my dear friend, technology has evolved to limits where old movies could just depict as fiction... but... do people really need such expensive technology for the sake of not pressing buttons?
