R3 GBA was an unholy hybrid of R2 and R3. :tssk: I seem to like the phrase "unholy hybrid", don't I?

We should really have a ranking of the people with the most disgraceful introductions to the franchise! Having started with the educational games, I would be up there myself.

Rayman Raving Rabbids for Symbian is totally to avoid to show to someone who never met the franchise before.

The educational games, huh? I probably would have been disgusted at the time if that was my first taste of Rayman, but being who I am now, that sounds to me like a great way to start. :fou2:

My first Rayman was Rayman 2, then Rayman 1 shortly after.

Funny little thing about Rayman 2: people around me must have sensed I would be into that game, for I got it gifted for my birthday three different years apart - I now have the game five times!

I made a new headcanon recently. It goes a little somethin' like this.

While many limbless species generally cannot use magic (Rayman's being one of them, although there are some notable), all of them have a unique form of magic existing within them. It is this internal magic that makes them able to live with their bizarre anatomy because, naturally, anything with its head detached from its body should technically be dead. And dead a limbless most certainly would be without that magic, as blood would not flow to their hands, feet and head, and they probably wouldn't be able to breathe and swallow either. To die this way would be pretty awful, but luckily it never happens. No limbless just loses their natural magic.
This is something I came up with for a fanfiction I'm writing. ;)

That actually makes a lot of sense. And also, it is confirmed that Rayman can indeed swallow which proves some kind of "magic" needs to exist.

I like how you've highlighted 'loses' like you're insinuating something...

Dreams can begin pleasant and turn into nightmares. Ales Mansay was not always evil, he was born from a dream like all the other teensies, but the constant torment over his lacking magic skills turned him into a nightmare.

Also, dreams are often forgotten before the dreamer wakes up. The Valley and its people were dreamt by Polokus and existed for a long time, but before the events of Rayman 2, Polokus forgot about them. That is why Rayman is considered such a mystery and- yeah no wait hang on Betilla made Rayman I didn't think this one through before I wrote it. Sorry.

Meh, Polokus once dreamt up time with some other fellows who seem to have vanished also. Dreams don't make sense after all, who's to say Polokus didn't screw up continuity while he was at it? :P

He could've forgotten and re-remembered, I think that's possible. Though the lums themselves say Rayman's a mystery and supposedly they transcend Polokus, so…

One of my newer headcanons is that Space Mama and Voodoo Mamma are related, and there was some kind of conspiracy between the latter and Razoff's family to overthrow the former.

I just made this new headcanon that I don't know if I'm going to use all the time but it's kinda cute.

The Musician's wife used to have hair of a 'natural' colour, but it got turned that odd lavender colour due to some sort of curse or magic accident (Probably the latter). One of her babies was born with hair of a deeper shade of purple than her own but she and the Musician don't care, they still love their gorgeous little purple-haired baby just as much as the other one.

Haha, cool. Or they're hippies that dye their hair. :P
But yours is more Raymanesque!

I have this theory of how all states of Energy combine to ultimately form what exerts itself as life. The Lums aren't like godparticles as such; they don't 'want something to happen and thus use life as their means to do so' - it's more like they're more in harmony that way, when coalesced as life.

Some people think that the members of Rayman's species could be a creation of the nymphs, just like Rayman.
Well, I had a weird theory about it.

Imagine: When the nymphs created Rayman, they saw his incredible immaturity and thought they maybe screwed up their ritual. So they began a kind of magic test, and tried to create a better hero with other Lums. And by doing so, they gave birth to Tarayzan, the Musican, Rayomz...
But then, it turned out that Rayman was really the expected hero, as he defeated the Nightmares of Polokus. So the nymphs let their new creations go, and each one chose a different way of life (Ales entered the school of magic, Raymolk went to the jungle...)

That's a really nice headcanon! Although it does imply that the musician and his wife are cousins.

I swear I had a headcanon I was gonna write, but I forgot it. I come up with new Rayman headcanons on a regular basis.

So Tings are fairies inside magic spheres, right?
What if.

I was gonna say how ridiculous it seems that tings have fairies inside them, but then I remembered that the Glade of Dreams has several different kinds of fairies. And speaking of fairies, here's a headcanon!

Baby limbless fairies and babies of Rayman's species are actually very similar in appearance at birth, given that the latter is born with small, somewhat more human-like noses. The two become more distinct from each other in their faces as they age.
