I did play the first game as a kid, where I had it on PS1. It's only when I played Origins that I got back in to Origins and joined this forum. I stuck around then and got really into the Rayman fandom.

That's pretty cool, and we did show up here close enough to the same time oddly enough.

I still remember I used to play Rayman Golf a lot back in the day too though, other than just playing Rayman 1. There was also a friend who had Rayman on GBC.

Raving Rabbids introduced me to him and it got me hooked.

I almost forgot about the rather short period of my life when I was moderating the 'Rayman' forum on Gamewinners. That was in late Rayman 2, maybe early Rayman 3 era. Eventually the forum lost most of the activity and they no longer needed a moderator, and I wasn't really interested in the other activities, so I left those forums.

So that was even before the old RaymanZone. Back then I was a member of
philippe317's 'Le Monde de Rayman' website, which had a nice forum until RZ was launched and everyone moved there.
As to when I first played Rayman, I'm not exactly sure what the year was but I guess some time between 1996 and 1998?

I got Rayman M demo in 2001/2002 and played like twice I think, but only in 2006 I started to gain interest for it. Then in 2007 a friend lended me their Rayman DS and I got into Rayman even more. During the same year I also got Rayman 3, but I couldn't play on my poor potato pc I had during that period until 2014, when I finally managed to play it properly.
2007 is my segnature year for my Rayman interest, when I started to create fan made OCs. I joined the fandom in 2009 on deviantart, but it didn't last longer though.

No matter where people start, whether it be from the very first game, Rayman Legends, or heck even a Rabbids game, what matters is we're all Rayman fans and we're all here and I'm happy that this community has a lot of them.

Ya know, the funny thing is that the first Rayman game I played actually was part of the first Rabbids game technically lol. Anyways, yeah that was the first but later I became a Rayman fan from first playing Rayman 3 gba then Rayman advance because we have the 10th anniversary cartridge. Then I have played other Rayman games. The thing with some characters, I just like them. Like, maybe it has something to do with their design. I don't know. They just are really great.

I can fully recall my introduction to the Rayman series.
It was the year 2002, roughly sometime before Prince cookies came packaged with the Rayman 3 demo disc (PC) as promotional material.
I was visiting my playmate. While our mothers were having tea and discussed matters in the living room, I went upstairs to play toys with him. Only to find him playing on the PlayStation 2.
He was playing Rayman Revolution. He made a brief introduction to the game, and Rayman instantly became my brainrot.
I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and my first time seeing a PS2 in person. (I'd later own one in 2012)
About a year later, it was summer.
While I was over at my grandmother's house, I noticed a square CD sleeve containing the Rayman 3 demo lying on the table in the living room. I lit up.
Turns out, nan was curious what the hype was about. So she bought Prince cookies with the Rayman 3 demo package, and tried to install it on her PC. Didn't work.
When I asked her and mum about it, they let me have it.
The rest was history. I played the demo, eventually got the full game. Rayman 3 was all I'd play after school. But mostly to admire the environment in the game.
It was all thanks to my playmate. We'd see each other in school, and become classmates again in school year 2008 and 2009.

I got to playing my first Rayman game in 2010, well actually it is RRR TV Party that got me started .
Then after that I did play a little bit of Rayman 2 on iphone , then after that been following poeple who have been making fan videos of Rayman like Totallylisacartoons who has made like fanfics of Rayman the animated series on youtube and also she reacted to like the Maths and English with Rayman intro on her youtube, but I think it has been taken down a long time ago.
Then in 2020, I saw the Rayman the animated series Reanimated collab of the episode 'No Parking' and it sort of got me back into the series,
then AGAIN in 2022, I started to watch the Rayman the animated series Reanimated Collab when I was at the hospital admitted for allergic reaction but I got over it, and then I started to get myself into the Rayman series entirely by getting my first Rayman game for the Switch, Rayman Legends, and then after that it is history for me

The collab was kind of nice that it got many people together like this who are talented with art / animation. I am not good at either, my artistic talent only revolves around music.
I did try to draw and took part in the Globox collab with a mediocre drawing, but it's participating that counts!
Back when I first played Rayman it was long before we had internet so I had a very different experience, though I did get really into it again when I played Origins in 2017. As a kid though, I always loved the beach section of Eat at Joe's, and the happy music that accompanied it.

Funny story, my father got Rayman Origins for me for the Xbox 360 when I was really young, maybe like... 3? Ever since then I have played every single game (except Rayman 1

), and what's funny is that I always adored the 2d games, but I now wish to fully play the 3d games, since I actually never got to finishing any of them. I recently started to play Rayman 3 again, so maybe I will finally finish it after starting it for the 2nd time (I don't have the original save file

)!

There was a time (probably 2004) when a chocolate brand called Phoskitos included an Ubisoft game in its packages. The games were MotoGP, Tom and Jerry, Formula 2 (yes, Formula 2, because Formula 1 games were already too old-fashioned, I guess lol)... The first one I got was Rayman 2, which is the one I ended up playing the most. It was the game that really got me into videogames and that's why I have a special affection for it.

I think there is no consumer product in existence that hasn't had Rayman 2 packaged with it at some point.

I can't remember exactly what the first Rayman game I played was, though it was between Rayman Jungle Run, Rayman Origins, or maybe Rayman Legends. I think out of all three of those, Origins is my favorite, but Jungle Run is extremely nostalgic to me.

Always knew about the existence of the limbless lad. But I didn't become a proper fan until November last year. ^^
The games were on sale on Gog, so I had no excuse not to snatch them when they were only one euro each. And, well, here we are now...
