I really don't wanna bring this up but I'm massively against recreational drugs. Too many times I see the damage it does to those who choose to abuse it and I don't want to fall in that trap [and before you bitch at me for believing in anti-drug propaganda, I find some of that patronising].

As for over the counter drugs, my body will hardly hold them down, even aspirin. And besides, even though I have my downs there is no need for me to take anti-depressants.

Can we have happier, less controversial poll subjects after this? Because I'm really not in the mood to argue.

Can't we just all agree that these polls all stink?

I don't see the point in this one though. "Illegal" drugs can save lives- but people abuse them. But you're saying "Should drugs be legal?" but medicines are drugs...

I don't believe they should be legalized, because I personally don't see any sane reason for using them outside of the medical field or something like that. (Referring to drugs such as heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and so on.)

Hmmm, seriously though, what will happen if drugs are legalized everywhere?

Selling is the most profitable business ever I believe, and if they are forbidden, there will always be people who'll take the risk and sell drugs. The worse the punishment for taking/selling drugs is, the more profitable this business will be, people who are REALLY addicted will pay ANY price to get another dose.

Legalizing drugs might work well, I mean, it'll make the business lots less profitable which MIGHT make the amount of dealers less. See, when alcohol was illegal in the USA, the government spent lots of money on fighting it instead of getting the tax from selling it, and it didn't even make the amount of people who drank smaller, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

But then again if they legalize drugs it should be made extremely clear that it's bad for your health, social advertising you know?

I'm not sure it'd work though.

As for the Nertherlands, I thought they have only marijuana legalized and the heavy drugs are illegal.

I wouldn't put heroin and marijuana in the same list, marijuana doesn't do much harm to your health, it makes you act weirdly. Cigarettes are more dangerous for your health I believe.

I heard of people killing themselves over running out of MJ, and that's something I worry about if I was to try it [and to admit, I have been tempted to do so just to see what all the fuss is about].

That's probably the worst part- giving it a try just to see what it's like...

My friends who've tried it say that it doesn't feel good the first time you try it and it won't make you addicted though.
