Skills and features that are genetic don't necessarily mean one thing is superior to another. What some animals are born with, they are born with, and this is a matter of natural development and nothing more. You can't really say, for example, a dog is superior to a badger because its bark is louder.

That is ridiculous, the fastest land animal is the cheetah which can only get up to about 60km an hour, if I remmeber correctly whereas cars can easily get to 120km. And if a cheetah doesn't catch its prey it dies of exhaustion.
Now give me all of your tings.
I said without a car.

A cheetah can reach to speeds of about 120 km/h.

A peregrine falcon can dive at ridiculously fast speeds.

But humans are so intelligent that they can invent machines which travel faster than any animal ever could :bad:

Yeah, and you know, we are ruining the earth with our "vehicles". And because we do that, we are killing ourselves. Also, we go to war, we murder innocent people for some black liquid or some shiny stones. Also, we could never accept the way other people prefer to live, and discriminate each other for that, also, we discriminate humans for having a other skin color,...

Vehicles don't say anything about intelligence if you'll ask me.

I completed your post for you. :D

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man...for precisely the same reason.

Humans are not the only species to go to war though.

Nobody asked you. :?

And the ability to build complex structures such as vehicles does say quite a lot about intelligence. You fail to separate intelligence from knowledge.
And do you really think the animal kingdom is such a peaceful and harmonic place? Are you really that naive? The expression "It's a jungle out there" goes like that for a reason...

I don't see your argument. Animals kill each other all the time. Much more than humans do. And didn't you say that you think animals' lives are worth as much as humans'?

Yeah, wait a moment here...

What i'm trying to say here is that we might be intelligent ( well, we are, that's a fact ) but i think that because we kill each other we are also pretty dumb at the same time. I think it's quite stupid how we kill people from our own species. And there aren't many animals that go around killing themselves.

And how is killing a member of your species the same as killing yourself?

And, in fact, how is it dumb?

Because thanks to our wars we kill innocent people. And the reasons why we go to war are most of the time pathetic. For example, world war 1.

Intelligence does not only consist of the knowledge base, but also (and more significantly) the interpretation and understanding of this stored information - choosing what to do with it and making decisions. I see your point about it being morally wrong to go to war and kill innocent lives (although this is kind of debatable anyway), but don't you think that, for example, scientific understanding of the world proves humans are actually more intelligent than animals of any kind?

And also, choosing to go to war is an act of foolishness or folly, and has nothing to do with intelligence.
