Wow, just wow...
Especially trying to prove that Spiraldoor was wrong

. It is clear enough he doesn't really know him.
It would be better to have shutted up at first, and assuming since the begining that he was stupid. It just gets so bad in the picture ... Really, shall I next time buy a game without informing myself first? 8P Consumism at its best.
I've done such a thing when buying a new mobile phone. I was in the shop and wanted to buy a new phone. I trusted the person who was telling me about a certain model. Now I can only blame myself because the person didn't know a thing about the phone they were selling... (or I am that guillible)
A common problem in shop assistants: they usually haven't any formation about the products they sell. How many examples I've confronted every time I visited gaming and informatic shops.
Well, yesterday night I was able to finish Rayman 3D.
My list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- Some character and object models do are remastered with better shaping, like Rayman's hair, Globox in general, bridges have more volume, kegs are rounder, Polokus' pillar corners are more smooth, etc
- The controlling is good in overall, it works well. I liked the change of the shooting button from A to X: it is more practical.
- The 3D depth is well done
- There are good loading pictures, and I also like to see the small running Rayman in the down-right corner of the touch screen
- Remember the hole of the Tomb of the Ancients? The secret still is accessible.
Cons:
- I miss Ubisoft's Rainbow logo, but nothing can be done now
- The 3D model of Rayman 3D title is worse than the original one of Sega Dreamcast version
- There is no voice in the intro, where Polokus is suppoused to talk
- The touch screen could have more use and a better visual: there is no stylus interaction.
- The sound effects sometimes seem to play incomplete (Like shooting several energy spheres and Henchmen's sounds) and others seem omitted (like Rayman doesn't scream in cutscenes where he was suppoused to do so)
- The music is very loud (But at least you can fix that in the options, to make SFX higher than music)
- No Globox Village (

)
- No Globox Crystals
- No downloadable minigames of Sega Dreamcast
- Some fishes appear to have only one eye (Wierd)
- Super Yellow Lums have a wierd look
- Some textures seem flipped upside down, like the eyes in the cages, the jumping eyes and flames
- Axel and Foutch haven't got their auras
- Why the heck when Rayman grabs a Power Fist, his fists don't turn gold?! *Looks to Ubisoft with disapprovement look*
- Why the heck the scenes of getting a Polokus Mask play in MIDI version?!

- I've experienced a very wacky glitch in the Precipice part of the Helicopter Bombs: sometimes they appear invisible and Rayman gets blasted with no reason at all, but it didn't happen the entire time fortuneatly
- There are some nonsense graphical glitches present in the game, but it isn't as bad as what happened with Rayman DS (One example: you see a 2D texture in one side, but in the other side it gets invisible ; Rayman's waves of his energy spheres seem also incomplete ; other random graphical glitches )
- The strafe button should be in R button, not the L as in Playstation 2
- I have also experienced problems to catch the 1000th Yellow Lum: the spider web acts as a normal floor, and not a trampoline. I could only jump to the hole thanks to the small spiders, but when I tried to slide to the exit Rayman freezed. At least the game saves the caught Lums and Cages if you go to the pause screen and decide to exit the level so, it is still possible to complete the game 100%.
- Strange, the Grolgoth Salesman has got eyes in the loading screen
- I just caught a huge mishap by watching the Grolgoth scene where it was shaking Rayman: the ears were HUGE (More graphical glitches...)
- The Yellow Lums can follow Rayman more easier at approach, but I think this kinda "destroys" part of the fun of the game and lows down the difficulty level of the game
- The camera works wierd sometimes, something that didn't happen in other normal versions
- The health bar also acts strangely here
- The bonus levels seem also easier to beat
- The FPS isn't constantly at 60
- The Flying Shell controls were slightly adapted to the 3DS, which made the spinning button disappear. This also kinda makes the Crow's Nest level harder to beat (and when trying to access the Easter Egg thing in the same level, the player struggles to reach the end because the Flying Shell starts to "work automatically")
Final opinion: I can make sure that this port it isn't as bad as with Rayman DS ported from Nintendo 64's Rayman 2 but still, Ubisoft could have taken much more advantage of this version and spent more time in improving it. Why not adding exclusive extras, like Nintendo is doing with the upcoming remake of Zelda's Ocarina of Time? *Sigh* Well, at least I still enjoyed to play this

. It is a good option for people who want to start to know about Rayman 2, but only if they neither own the DC version or cannot play the PC version in their computers (Someone should create a fix for Windows 7... or confirming if it fully works 100% in Windows XP Mode). I think I give it a 70% in the best of chances.
