I think it's worth trying. We have many fans here, after all

And I never worked on Rayman M2 by the way

Well then, who would actually make it?

That will depend on what it exactly is

I am, actually, and it was called Electoons ( Toon Town is just a small place in the game ), but I changed the title. It's Master of the Dark Sun now. But I might change the title again.
I had a break for a month ( kinda long, isn't it? ), because I'm having problems loading the music in the game -__-
And Kelvin, it's a great idea to revive it. The project leader ( rbnikke ) quit us though, so we'll have to find new members here.
And yes, I still have the files! ^^

I have the files too, but I'm not sure if they were the last updated.
Sadly, if we revive it here, finding members will be hard in the English forum, I'm not sure about the French forum though.
But anyways, once you're done with your game you think you can be the leader for the project? You were the leader when rbnikke left.

Well, I wasn't really the project leader... but I wouldn't mind being it! XD
I was just ( almost? ) the only one who kept on making the game while almost nobody replied to the topic when I posted some updates. -____-

Sadly, the forum and original RZ was deleted so we have absolutely no data on what we were going to do.
All I remember is something about a mispelling of Globox's hut being called Globox's Hutt and there was not going to be a level on it anyways.
Funny how I actually remember that.
What was that website that archived old websites?

I wouldn't mind helping, but what are you making the game with?

If you ever need some artwork for it, I'm here and happy to get a good excuse to draw fanart. *waves*

Ah yes, the level rayda ( wasn't it? ) had in mind... :p Funny how I remember that! XD
Well... it was the Wayback Machine:
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
But I can't find the topic anywhere
These are all the archived versions of the RZ off-topic forum:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://for ... 7501063023*
And this, exactly the same but for the index page:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://for ... 6891033023*
Unless you still know the topic's address, we are not able to find it with this archive...
And no data for the old site & forum (
http://raymanvota.freewebsitehost.net/ ) either

I still have the phpBB2 template though. But we'd better use phpBB3 now.

Well, it's not confirmed if the project will be revived just yet.
Xei thinks it would be a nice idea to revive it, but yet, he thinks it would be best to have everything from the original game except the story into a completely new game (maybe save the engine), in other words, starting over the whole game, then he might help us with the game.
If the game is revived, we would have to follow these steps:
1. Brainstorming the plot and gameplay
2. Working out the precise details and levels
3. Mapping out every single level on paper
4. Making all of the sprites
5. Making all of the sound
6. Coding
7. Testing
8. Polishing
And after seeing the game again, we would REALLY have to follow that.
Oh yeah, they have one page on the other site:

Well, we had no plot really.
Remember that, all we were really doing is making sprites, ideas for levels, and stuff.
Anti had one concept art that could've been an enemy but was rejected.
This was him:
Maybe we can make a new story and plot with him has the main Baddie.

Let me tell you that I'll be working on a Rayman projects platform very soon, which means that it may offer you support for the development of your fan game. I can also try to help you directly anyway

Hmm... I thought that was an image we could base our enemies on. It was taken from another website, if I remember correctly.
@Hunch: Great! ^^

It does really look great, and I think it would do a perfect generic foe.
