Yes it is. It's messy from Rayman 3, and it's separated from his head and more blonde-ish, from Rayman 2. Maybe it's a little bit shaggier in Rayman Origins, but it's easily comparable to Rayman's appearance from Rayman 3. It is a cross between 2 and 3 with some minor changes. I'm done here.

R2's hair was, like Ad said, the orderly and clean one.
R3's is a bit more loose and thicker, but it remained the same, mostly.
But Origin's? It's become...how do you call it? Ruffled? A "Just got out of bed" hairdo?

Count me as a third, I also don't get the connection.

hahaha XD ... no but seriously, I do see a connection, why am I the only one who appears to see it so clearly? ._. it's not like THE OBVIOUS connection but it's not even that hard to appreciate... are we still talking about Rayman's hair from Rayman Origins? because it is shaggy, but not THAT shaggy as you may remember, just look at it again:



It's more like they tried to make it look more like hair than hears, which was one of the main problems in the R3 design, but I do see the R3 basis. The Rayman 2 influence isn't that easy to notice... but there is it, the shoes are a good example, and the restored division between the hair and the head makes a generous comparison.

I have no fucking clue how you went as far as to say with not even a questionable intricacy about what not wanting to add it to undesirably and inconclusively finding that which is looking more like.

Even if one were to assume that naturally the look is of similar contrast to what one might consider, the concept does not succeed to provide viable conversation within the means of plausibility.
