I wanted to save an extra code for selling on ebay to see if it's actually worth anything, I'll give it to Brad I suppose whenever I come home from college.
On 19th September, all codes become invalid so selling it on eBay would be tough anyways.Rayfist wrote:I wanted to save an extra code for selling on ebay to see if it's actually worth anything, I'll give it to Brad I suppose whenever I come home from college.
3 of the 5 characters have been in it since the first game, and don't offer anything extraordinarily new if you've played a Smash Bros game before. They're improved, definitely, but it's not like you're going into something unfamiliar or brand new with them. Mario, Link, and Pikachu feel largely the exact same as past games, but are better due to the better engine. And the less interested you are in serious, high level play, the less noticeable these improvements are (hence some people are still complaining about Mario's FLUDD being back, even though it's been made a lot better, they just aren't into the game enough to actually experiment and compare).Rayfist wrote:Bare bones? You get five playable characters, that's pretty damn friendly for a demo honestly.
I literally gained nothing personally from that code other than being called an asshole on this topic. Try harder next time you try to hurl out your biased grudge against me and make asinine accusations of me being a sociopath, jfc.It was still a horribly selfish
You live on a different planet from the rest of us, dear, dear boy.sonicbrawler182 wrote:I literally gained nothing personally from that code other than being called an asshole on this topic.
And lo, Sonicbrawler took the code knowing he would attain no enjoyment, procure nothing of value from it - he would even hurt others by committing to the act - other than to be ridiculed. The poor soul needs therapy, he's very confused.sonicbrawler182 wrote:I literally gained nothing personally from that code other than being called an asshole on this topic.
Was this directed at you or Ad?sonicbrawler182 wrote:Big headed, non-constructive posts with no substance mean nothing to me, dear, dear boy.
Calm down you might get an embarrassing ego boner.Adsolution wrote:What? It was probably the most honest thing said in this thread so far, if not in all of history.

"Kids, it's not robbery if it's easy to steal."sonicbrawler182 wrote:I only gave it to someone else (the person who got me mine) because you apparently didn't have a 3DS on hand at the time, and Dandy was teasing you about whether or not the code was real anyway, so I myself didn't know whether or not it was real. If I didn't use it, someone else would have (hence I suggested people send them via PM earlier in the topic), and I thought he said he had more, so I sent that one to someone else, it worked (proving Dandy's codes were real), and then said that anyone who had a spare should give one to you specifically.Bradandez wrote:I could. Though, I wouldn't be that mad if brawler (who I may now refer to "butthole" or "bunghole" from here on out) used it for himself, but he gave it away to somebody else. That really tasseled my tangerines.
You honestly couldn't have expected a code for one of these demos, sitting there on a public forum, to not be used by anyone while you wait to get your 3DS. So my logic was "well at least if I make use of it rather than one of the many random people that were scouring the entire internet for one, I can at least own up and explain my situation, rather than making it a total bitter mystery, and can then specifically put out an open invitation for someone to save one for Brad and give it to him when he gets his 3DS".
I owed someone a favour and thought I'd pay them back while I had a chance (because again, if I didn't use the code Dandy posted, somebody else would have, RPC member or not, before you got your 3DS), and figured you would be able to get another. I'm sincerely sorry the latter thing didn't happen, but it's not like the wait between you getting your 3DS and the public demo releasing is a big one anyway, at this point. And I assure you, unless you are deeply interested in the competitive Smash Bros scene like myself, or you REALLY have nothing else to do, you won't play the thing 30 times (and if you do get heavily invested in it and risk running out of uses, you can exploit Sleep Mode). The demo is incredibly bare bones in terms of it's content and is the smallest taste of what the full game will be like.
Pretty much what I got out of Brawlers statement.technology4617 wrote:"Kids, it's not robbery if it's easy to steal."

Except I didn't steal a thing. Let me summarise this yet again. I have posted this same story elsewhere, and others seem to think it's fine, so I'm calling bullshit on all of these "BRAWLER'S A SOCIOPATH OF A THIEF" claims, because it's pure, unadulterated bias and ignorance.Rayfist wrote:Pretty much what I got out of Brawlers statement.technology4617 wrote:"Kids, it's not robbery if it's easy to steal."
What "bias" are you talking about? I've literally had no notable issues with you in the past, no reason to be "biased" against you, so maybe the "pure, unadulterated bias and ignorance" are coming from the very people you are describing that actually believe your likely twisted recollection on the actual events. Taking something clearly intended for someone else is without permission is, by technical definition, stealing. The simplification was intentional to show how under all the excuses, it's really something very simple and pretty reprehensible at that.sonicbrawler182 wrote:Except I didn't steal a thing. This overrides the aforementioned, though:sonicbrawler182 wrote:You offered two codes on a first come, first serve basis (with you and Ad using the other two). SegaNintendoUbisoft was the first to ask for one, and I asked straight after he got his, making me second (Brad actually asked you for one before SNU or myself, but then Dandy posted his). I didn't get a response, so I wasn't sure if I was getting that one or not. If you can't remember these details, this all happened on page 21 of this topic, if you need to check things yourself.

None of these excuses are in any way valid whatsoever, and your attempt to shift the blame onto DandyGuy is outright hilarious.sonicbrawler182 wrote:I then saw Dandy toying with Brad over whether or not his was real (by the way, I love how I was called a sociopath, yet everyone completely ignores this little tidbit - toying with people is exactly what you would expect a sociopath to do, not trying to arrange a Smash Bros code for two people. Not saying Dandy is an outright sociopath, but what he did here is much more in line with what a sociopath would do then anything I've ever done here). I also saw that Brad wouldn't even be able to make use of this code, real or not, for another while. While Ad is technically right in saying I could have simply pointed out that posting codes publicly is unwise (which I did, when I asked you to send me a code via PM rather than in public), I decided to try Dandy's code out, to see if it was real or not - I had little faith it would work, mind you.
So knowing that I had a response on hold from you, and knowing Dandy had allegedly got other codes to give at the time, I tried giving the code to the person I did (they got me a code for no reason other than being amazingly kind, since they didn't know me, so I had been trying to get one for them in return, and this site was not the first I checked). I had little faith it would work due to Dandy's teasing, and was surprised it worked.
Having now got proof Dandy was indeed in possession of legitimate codes, and knowing you should have had a code on hold for me if you were being truthful about it being a "first come, first serve" thing (and I trusted you were), I immediately came to this topic, asked you to give Brad the code you had on hold for me, and put out an open invitation for other people to give Brad one in case you had given your code to someone else.
That makes it worse in certain respects, as it shows not simply selfishness, but a complete disregard for the other person.sonicbrawler182 wrote:My intent was not selfish (as there was no personal gain in this for me, I was trying to make sure both Brad and the person on tumblr got one)
I like how you highlight the course of action that most reasonable people would have taken as "what you could have handled better."sonicbrawler182 wrote:Perhaps I could have handled it better - maybe I should have waited until you sent me a PM with a code, then send Dandy's code to that person on tumblr since someone else probably would use it anyway, and THEN PM Brad with the code you had given me along with an explanation on things. At least that way, the situation would never have had to go public, and would have saved people twisting the situation just so they can try get a dig in on me, and would probably have given Brad a better sense of security since the code he would use is now safely in his PM Inbox.

Now everyone's happy."sonicbrawler182 wrote:The end result is still what I was aiming for in the first place though - Brad, AND someone else gets a code, rather than Brad getting a code and not the other person, or heck, neither due to someone stealing Dandy's, and Brad only discovering this on Thursday or so, due to not having his 3DS on him.
