Failing a dispute gives you another strike? That's retarded; you don't get punished in court for attempting to defend yourself against a subjective accusition.

A Let's Players, that uploaded Sega and Nintendo Let's Plays, got third party content notification. Not strike, but just notification saying that content is not owned by them so they cannot make money off those videos. They tried to dispute it and say it is under fair use because they are talking about the game and it is allowed by law to make money off it, and guess what happened when dispute was failed? BAM! Strike! One guy disputed 3 videos and got 3 strikes :(

:boon:

That's retarded, especially since the advertisement is something THAT WOULD BE SEEN FOR FREE otherwise. Why would a video get a copyright strike FOR SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN WATCH FOR FREE? The asshole who did this should honestly just kill himself so he doesn't waste our planet's resources.

And the strike won't be gone until May? Not even if she removes the video? That sucks. I'm sorry, Haruka. :(

Yeah, she must wait :(
Video is already removed by force. Maker Studios has nothing to do with Rayman at all, so the claim was fake.

It was a prototype of the final version of the advert we know, but since it was an organization who did the complaint and not an individual, I can't do anything. It will only leave in 1st May if things go fine. At least I can prepare more calmly the RL videos, and upload a good number when the strike disappears.

Person who made a complaint was clearly a Partner of Maker Studios because Partnered channels have option to hide their names and display their Partner network. If Maker Studios ever finds out about that person, he will most likely lose partnership and be punished since not only did he false claim someone's video but he is also trying to ruin image of Maker Studios.

I've recorded until Mariachi Madness. The ideal would be recording all the normal levels plus the Invaded modes until the end of the month. The other half (Back to Origins and extra videos) could be kept for the month of June where I technically am nearly in holidays.

What aspect ratio are you recording at?

Haruka doesn't have Widescreen PC Monitor so I think you can guess it.

16:9 would make mostly sense.

5:4 ?

Actually you can record at any aspect ratio, no matter what your monitor is.

Yes, it is 5:4.
I know that you can record at any aspect ratio in settings, but I noticed that Haruka does not like widescreen that much (Rayman Origins Walkthrough and other videos)
so I doubt she will record Legends in 16:9.

I'm recording under 5:4, since my display is an ASUS PG191. As long as it works fine I won't upgrade to widescreen.

Yes, but doesn't the engine for Legends run at 16:9? If yes, then it doesn't make any sense to record at 5:4 at sub-480p resolutions (pixels are shaved off by the massive widescreen bars), since the experience will be the same for you no matter if the software is scaling the game to 5:4 on your monitor, or if this is being done by the GPU or display. I know Origins' engine ran at 16:9, so doesn't Legends do this also?

The engine doesn't 'run' at a particular aspect ratio, but the games were designed with a 16:9 safe frame. Unfortunately, due to a lack of testing on non-widescreen monitors, you have shitty problems like this popping up:

(Video by me, brought to attention by Haruka)

However, I agree that for the sake of YouTube, the game should be recorded in a window at a 16:9 resolution, in this case, 1280x720, to give a perfect 720p.

Then why run it at 4:3 or 5:4 resolutions, when shitty cropping problems like that are going to appear anyway? Unless it's different in Legends... But if the letterboxing is there at 4:3 and 5:4 resolutions, then what's the point?

That problem only happened in two specific levels of Origins, where there were long courses of everything being in shadows (like that Tricky Treasure footage and the Moskito level from the Ticklish Temples). I've completed the PC version of Legends once and thank god this problem disappeared.

With letterboxing or without? If the letterboxing is still there, then there is no reason to be playing at those resolutions anyway.
