Either way, note that both PlayStation versions differ heavily to other versions.
And that they also differ heavily to each other. In fact, the two PlayStation versions are the furthest apart from each other.

Don't bother yourself with that. I already have the N64 texture pack, but not at all to my satisfaction. It's the right textures, granted, but they're all pixellated, colour-swapped and different in places. I know perfectly well why; the N64 simply isn't that great a console when it comes to tech, but who could expect it to be?
Drolpiraat wrote:The PC versions of Rayman 2, 3 and M use some kind of archive (*.cnt) which was thought to be deciphered as we can get to the filenames of the textures - while the actual textures couldn't be found. I think I have an idea though, I'll work on it this summer (after ze exams). :D
Good! So you are actually able to hack into them? I was wondering if I could remember whether or not you had said you failed in doing so. I remember you trying, which is why I brought it back up.

I installed 3D Ripper and learned how to install the plugins for photoshop correctly. I can rip nearly any texture desired now.

Hey, i yesterday watched the Rayman TV series from You Tube. I hadnt seen it before. In my opinion it was good in its own way and it gave me few good laughs. My favorite character was that giant strange, one eyed cow in the junkyard. HAHAHA! Could be a good boss in some future Rayman game. But only two characters from the Rayman games, that sucked a bit. Had been better if there had been Globox, Ly and Grand Minimus instead of Lac Mac, Betina and Cookie. And Raymans English voice actor made him sound like a school bullier. And ONLY FOUR EPISODES???

Anyway it was good. Do we have a thread for the TV series?

There is actually, though the last few pages were nasty: viewtopic.php?t=5851

Your fanfictionesque concepts may keep it alive yet though.

The TV Series could be better if there were better plots, and if it wasn't so deslocated from the games plots. I hate how they changed Razorbeard in there.

I wish they made the 13 episodes they had planned to do. But they only made 4 episodes :( Ubisoft was just about to make the 5th episode but they failed.

There could have existed a chance of the plot improving with the time, but this got an incognit.

I'm not sure how well it would have developed though, seeing as it was mainly a young children's show. But I guess the twists could have gotten moderately exciting, granted they used the right mix of bad-versus-good footage.

Hey guys,

Something really weird happened to me in the few recent minutes:

I was playing Rayman 2 ( the PC version ), Whale Bay and ( as usual ) the fucking Big Pirate Skull shown on the screen just as i walked through the first laser barrier ( of course i turned it off :'D ). Then the rope-web disappeared - because why wouldn't it disappear if the cd's missing after all - and after several times of trying to grab the ledge where i come from, i finally grabbed it, howewer just after it i grabbed onto the web somehow, and was able to climb forward and go ahead. Then i was able to complete the whole level with all lums and cages.

And a bit later in the Hall of Doors:

Sorry about this image's quality, but i couldn't take 2 screenshot if i not leave the game, but if i do so it stops working.

And all this thing happened to me while i created a virtual drive and mounted the CD image into it, and it was active while i played and that fucking shit skull was on the screen all along. :lololol:

That's odd, did you try to play with the GOG version to see if nothing happens?

I believe it also depends of the CDs.

I heard that this bloody Pirate skull glitch is common. I never had it myself.
I also recommend you GOG. The best way to play old games on new systems. And GOG has the best support service ever!

Hm, I've also never had the pirate skull, and I've played the PC version through at least five times.

The Fanpage of Matthias Franke says it happens in the Exclusive version of R2PC. Are you possibly playing that one Rayrobi?

What do you mean by 'exclusive?'

There are no specific versions that trigger it, since I think it can happen to any disc version. I experienced the pirate skull in my Windows 7 laptop when trying to use Daemon tools or really the physical CD.

I didn't try out yet R2 in my desktop computer now that it has got Windows 7. At least when it had XP it never showed up issues.
