Actually only the first part is a little bit tricky but the second you can just duck until the balls gets to a certain point.

Like every Rayman fan game ever.
And what about ROTD, spiraldoor? I am sure this fan game won't fail at all! (except Ubisoft forces the creators to stop or just don't release the game since they own the rights for Rayman)
Actually i don't think Ubisoft would deny the release if it would come to that, nay i think they would even support it.

Does anybody know the cheat code for PC to select the map of a level? The selection menu looks like in the picture here:
I used to know it many years before but I forgot it

That's the intro for the Jaguar.

Also,
here are all of the cheat codes for Rayman 1.

When Rayman falls on instant-kill notes/spikes, he will make a different sound than when he just loses 1hp.

Yeah I know. The selection menu has that background, I tell you!
Still missing the Level-Selection cheat.

I'll see if I can convince my folks into letting me borrow their card to purchase this gem while I wait for Legends to be released.

Huh, so it wasn't just my imagination.
Also, I'd just like to point out how much I adore this image from the Jaguar version of the game.

I mean, look at it. Is it even possible to be angry while looking at that?

I like the picture, but note how there is the Great Protoon in there. (It seems there isn't a real place for it by the way)

Indeed. The intro showed floating over two large hands or something.
If one were to touch the Protoon, would all the electric bolts in it start zapping towards the person's finger like one of those electric-ball thingies?

Doesn't look like it.

Someone who is not Mr. Dark should try to touch Protoon.

You have a good point there. We don't know what Mr Dark is or how he works, for all we know he might not conduct electricity.
Also, was it never really explained or figured out why Rayman turns into electoons when he dies? Or why he appears to give the Magician electoons when he gives him tings? I'm assuming the latter is the result of that game mechanic being changed and the sprite animation not being changed with it.

Given that Rayman is made of pure Energy, I believe in Rayman 1, the reason why he shoots up into Electoons, is because he cannot yet reform himself, as such, the Electoons, being energy related, carry his energy and aid him in the reformation process, by the time of Rayman 2, he can do this himself, hence the coloured orbs when he reforms as opposed to Electoons.

That sounds like a fair reason.

Does he really give him Electoons? I always thought it looked like sparkly pink dust and assumed this was condensed Tings.

To me it always looked like Electoons as well.
