That looks lovely! As for me, I just got back from three days of hiking, sightseeing and off-road driving in the Khevsureti region of Georgia.

You seem to have quite a few connections with Georgia hunch. Are you part Georgian? Or do you visit a lot because the culture?

I've always been interested in the region and my girlfriend is from there so that's another good reason to go again.

Wow that’s really cool! I’d like to go to the Caucasus one day (particularly Georgia) as it seems like a really overlooked place to go.

You know guys I’ve always thought Georgia was just a US state. I didn’t know it was actually a country too.

My mind immediately thinks of this whenever the places are compared

Cool! Have fun in Italy! My school does ski to Italy every year but they cost way too much and I’d rather go myself, so I haven’t been yet

From the 15-17th February I’ll be on a school history trip in northern France and Belgium, going to the battlefields of Ypres and Somme. It also takes up most of my birthday but we’ll just have a bigger celebration on the 18th!

Last I week I was on a business trip to Portugal and I extended my stay a little to spend more time in Lisbon, visit Porto and go for a hike in the north of the country. I really enjoyed it, the only problem was the insane amount of tourists, even in September.

Yeah, it’s sad when tourists completely overrun a country. I might have to go to the Faroe Islands soon, as they haven’t had this curse happen to them yet

I've been there a couple years ago and it I liked it a lot, there's great views and interesting local food. And, indeed, it does not feel overrun.

And apparently they have a really good underground system. Is this true?

There’s no rules about what’s a vacation!

I'll probably pass the Christmas holidays alone this year.. literally

Well, I'm not surprised because it was my choice to work in the restaurant business, and the restaurant where I work is particularly busy during the Christmas period so I'll have a lot more work to do (and hopefully a better pay for my effort..).
Most likely my family will spend a few days at the house of some of my relatives who live very far away, so I won't even be able to come and visit them when I finish work

What makes me sad is that unlike my family I won't meet these relatives of mine that are one of my favourites and we rarely meet because we live very far from each other

The part about missing your vacation because of work sucks, but
look on the bright side... Being home alone gives you a lot of freedom, don't you think?

I thought about it but the thought that I'll be completely alone at home while everyone is having fun saddens me..
I already struggle to find some free time because my workplace is very far from where I live and I always come home very late, If I'll be alone that means I must do more than the usual housework and so even less time for myself..

I thought that I might spend these vacations with my friends but Christmas is the kind of festivity that you celebrate with your own family, so they'll sure be too busy with their own families..
I think from now on the Christmas period will be the worst time of the year for me

They have really impressive tunnels to connect some of the islands if that's what you're referring to. They were building an even longer one when I was there, one that would have saved us quite some time had it been finished back then, but I don't regret driving around the beautiful sceneries!

Christmas always finds a way to surprise you, I'm sure some good will come out of it!

That’s it! Good to know they’ll have an even better one if I’m ever there!
