Yes, but in Rayman 3 he had some charm, in Origins he came around looking like the start of a bad joke, therefore making him the only bad character redesign in my opinion.Electoon wrote:But wasn't Globox already meant to be dopey. That was the whole think behind his character

Re: Rayman Legends
Wat? Globox having charm in Rayman 3? he was, in my opinion, fucking annoying and awkward
Re: Rayman Legends
I think that was a combination of the celebrity voice acting fail and the general awkward writing in Rayman 3. To me, R3 always came across as trying to hard to be funny, and ending up feeling like one of the more awkward CGI family films that you forget after you watch them (and no, I don't mean anything Pixar! Although I haven't seen Cars 2 yetsergiomonty wrote:Wat? Globox having charm in Rayman 3? he was, in my opinion, fucking annoying and awkward

Re: Rayman Legends
I don't think it was awkward or bad, it was just sort of cheesy and laid back. Not in a bad way.

And I don't see where R3 was cheesy
Re: Rayman Legends
So I stood in line for quite a while to get to try a demo for Legends. They changed to the game to Batman when I finally got there.
I also found Wii U's for merely 300$... kind of a punch in the face when you know your Wii U for 460$ is arriving that same day.

Re: Rayman Legends
Well, I didn't like him. I prefer both R2's Globox and even Rayman Origins' Globox rather than R3's Globox.GNineify wrote:I'm on your side too.Keane wrote:This.Adsolution wrote:I don't think it was awkward or bad, it was just sort of cheesy and laid back. Not in a bad way.
Re: Rayman Legends
I think Globox was the most ruined character in R3HH with the personality change and voice change (English only).

Re: Rayman Legends
What's wrong with the English actor? I thought the French one for Globox was pretty bad in Hoodlum Havoc compared to the English. Like usual however, Rayman's is better in French.
Re: Rayman Legends
I don't think so. Globox's voice in French R3 is from the same actor from French R2, and I think it does sounds better and less dumb in English R3.
Re: Rayman Legends
My household now has a Wii U console... I guess I'll now review it. The systems user interface is quite accessible and easy to use, though my system was quite glitchy and buggy on my first several uses it had problems loading applications, accessing the internet, turning the system off, and the system still freezes up occasionily when playing games. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Nintendo will release an additional firmware update to combat these issues. As rumors say, yes there is a Wii mode that is complete with an original Wii menu and Channels, I haven't played any of my original Wii games on the system yet, but the system transfer must be done from this menu. As I already said the Gamepad is light and the buttons operate fine, but I now did notice something, the placement of the L and R trigger buttons is a tad bit uncomfortable when trying to press them with your index fingers and still using your thumbs to maneuver the left analog stick (which the analog sticks are a bit too short for my taste) and pressing the action buttons, this might be because I have rather small hands but ZL and ZR feel much more at home. This console's external design looks good, it's sleek, though for style I prefer the Wii's concave slanted design, this thing just looks like a big black rectangle. Unfortunately there is no Rayman Legends demo or demo of anytype in the eShop. The TVii service won't be available until December. With more and a wider variety of good games the Wii U will be a must-own game console.

Re: Rayman Legends
I've read up on how the Wii transfers to the Wii U, there is an official Wii channel one runs on both the Wii and Wii U which transfers content, with a pretty charming progress screen as well.

Well, that's a very nice review you have there, but it seems like it may be the wrong topic to be posting it in.Rayfanboy wrote:My household now has a Wii U console... I guess I'll now review it. I want a Wii U but I have no money
I highly doubt I will get a Wii U if I ask for it for Christmas, but I will. I see no pain in trying (was that expression correct?).

"I see no harm in trying" is the classical expression, but I guess this fits in some context.TeensieKing wrote:I see no pain in trying (was that expression correct?).
