I noticed that character too, but I highly doubt it's supposed to be Ly. Maybe there's going to be several different new fairies in the game.

Nope, it's all pure speculation.

Are we going to have many different types of undead granmas? :<

Yeah, thanks!

Hunchman801 wrote:By the way, where does it say that 'Catch Me If You Can' is a music/desert level? I haven't had time to read all the articles thoroughly.
Nowhere. It's just that a perfect description of that level with that name is on Gamespot-
We played a level called Catch Me If You Can, in which we had to chase after a chest while the level beneath us fell down and the screen was automatically scrolling to the right. There were various pillars, wooden fences, and wall jumps to complete, all of which required precise timing.

Later, a group of spiked balls blocked a section of the level with only a small gap between them allowing us to pass. This section alone set us back several attempts, with a precise leap of faith from a falling pillar our only way through the level.
And this level is in one of the GT gameplay videos. It's in the desert.

Hey, yeah! I never noticed that! I always thought the third guy at the bottom of the drawing is a chef or something! :hinhin:

That's not Ly.Do you seriously think that's Ly just because she has purple hair? Now look to the differences! The fairy in the image has dark brown and blue skin, long hair and it's nude with a tribal hat.The real Ly has normal skin, short hair, and it's dressed up with a yellow and purple suit and doean't have any hat. That's just not Ly!

You are in denial, my friend. The evidence is overwhelming. Ly will be in this game, whether you like it or not. LOL :mryellow:
As I noted, she has the same hair as Ly. She does not have the same skin colour; she is darker. She does not have the same body; firstly, we can’t see much of it, and secondly, boobs. She does not have the same body paint, or body suit, or tattoos, or whatever; they are quite different. I also do not see any green lipstick on her. This ‘analogical’ (?) scene does not symbolise the birth of the most important creatures in the universe; note the Electoon, the daisy boss and the Lum. Those aren’t remotely in the same category as Globox, Betilla and Mr Dark. I hope it’s Ly too but the evidence simply is not conclusive.

I'm not that sure that it's Ly. From all of the options, though, that seems the most probable one.

Then,if that's "what you want what you really really want" (LOL) I'll tell you that I don't want this fairy to be Ly at all.If that was Ly then they would have changes her a lot and I don't want that.Maybe it would be cool a new appearance for Polokus, but I still think the old appearance should be shown at any point of the game. But I don't want Ly to be drastically changed,I prefer that she doesn't appeared in RO and that she appeared in R4

For those who want to see the 3ds version, there are high resolution screenshots (not scans) on this website: http://www.wiiz.fr/article.php?a=36498
It seems like the lower screen won't be used. :? Altough I'm not surprised by that.

Man, everyone (fine, every man) noticed her boobs! I'm not that sure either if she is Ly or not. But as I said before, that's the most probable option. Remember, they all get redesigned.

spiraldoor wrote:‘analogical’ (?)
Sorry, when it comes to things like this (metaphore, analogy, symbol, etc.), my vocabulary in english is really screwed up. With all the words describing that sort of thing in hebrew, it's hard to deal with it. What I meant to say was that it's symbolizing the birth of all the creatures. It doesn't have to be accurate, it's just a trailer. That an Electoon and a Lum appear is merely because they symbolize all of their species, created by Polokus (but didn't the Lums create Polokus or something... ah, nevermind.)

Those are the same screens from the NP article, and I don't think it's coincidental.

Wow... that's... superficial.
Alright, I'll answer this in steps.
1: Hair colour. You're right, lots of people could have purple hair, but until now, only one has had it in the Rayman series, and we're not throwing our hopes away.
2: Skin. Dark brown? No. Simply quite tanned? Yes. Skin colour can change quite drastically according to whether you're in the sun or not, and since Rayman's world has TWO suns, that might actually change things even more drastically. Since adult Ly spends all her time in forests, sheltered from sun, she has less of a tan. Also, if young Ly appears to be a tribal figure, then it would mean she'd be in the sun a lot. And the blue stuff isn't necesarily tattoos - for one there's something called Henna and another option could simply be facial paint.
3: Hair length. Hair can grow and be cut shorter over time; I'm sure you must know this.
4: Nudeness and tribal hatness. Well, that would be explained by the occupation young Ly would have. If she is a tribal girl, then yes, (partial) nudeness and a tribal hat would be a clear indication that she IS part of a tribe.
5: Alright, I find you describe the difference between 'tanned' and 'light' skin as 'dark brown' and 'normal' quite racist, although I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. Please edit your post to avoid conflicts.
6: Suit. Like hair, outfit can change. Or are you one of those people who have fifteen sets of the same clothes lying around in the cupboard?

Yes - I am bringing down your arguments, but only because I found them highly superficial and ungrounded. Granted, we can't know at all if she's Ly or not, or if she has been put in there exactly with the purpose of getting people to try to figure out if she'll be in the game or not, but I have my beliefs and hopes and will stick to them.
Oh, and the... erm... rumpal inflation... can be explained by the game's overall redesign of a lot of characters. For one, the limblessness has disappeared on nearly everyone but Rayman, and I believe Globox's feet are still floating, but I haven't looked at that in detail yet. All enemies have had a redesign as well. And the most notable, I think, is Polokus, who is now no longer a frog and has insanely long arms, but a hairy slug who smokes a pipe and has his hair in some kind of stuck up ponytail. Alright, maybe he aged from the course of RO till Rayman 2 and lost all his hair, but that would still leave the slugness and the arms.

EDIT:
OK it seems I'm wrong about Polokus. I was just so stumped by his hair that I remembered him having it all over his body. He's still a frog, but he has facial hair in style of a hippie! Awesome! Hippie Polokus dreaming up stuff smokin' his pipe... hmm... I wonder what kind of things will spawn from THOSE dreams. O.o

Regarding the new nymph...we might wanna wait until there's any confirmation of it, before we all keep assuming it's Ly.
