He's still a frog, but he has facial hair in style of a hippie! Awesome! Hippie Polokus dreaming up stuff smokin' his pipe... hmm... I wonder what kind of things will spawn from THOSE dreams. O.o
Wait, maybe the entire Rayman series is really just about some guy getting stoned. Hmmm...

And how the hell are they going to have a naked character in it? Unless of course it's just a really skimpy outfit.

Unless every fan believes that until Rayman 2, Polokus lost his smoking habit during his sleep. :)

Which would make no sense at all, as the bubbles are supposed to represent his dreams.
iambored2006 wrote:Man, everyone (fine, every man) noticed her boobs! I'm not that sure either if she is Ly or not. But as I said before, that's the most probable option. Remember, they all get redesigned.
I know it’s the most likely explanation, but I think there’s a strong possibility that this is a new character; possibly a nymph related to Ly or Betilla.
iambored2006 wrote:Sorry, when it comes to things like this (metaphore, analogy, symbol, etc.), my vocabulary in english is really screwed up. With all the words describing that sort of thing in hebrew, it's hard to deal with it. What I meant to say was that it's symbolizing the birth of all the creatures. It doesn't have to be accurate, it's just a trailer. That an Electoon and a Lum appear is merely because they symbolize all of their species, created by Polokus (but didn't the Lums create Polokus or something... ah, nevermind.)
The word I used for the same scene was ‘impressionistic’, in the sense of ‘in a literary style characterised by the use of details and mental associations to evoke subjective and sensory impressions rather than the re-creation of objective reality’. As you said, the trailer is meant to convey to casual viewers the impression that the Bubble Dreamer creates characters and creatures through his dreams – not depict the literal creation of any characters. The first trailer, on the other hand, is very grounded and literal; it simply shows Betilla creating Rayman – there are no two ways about it.

Hmmm, and knowing that he during his sleep he speaks to Rayman in dreams, I believe I must agree this creates a continuity error. We can live with this anyway, not a crucial thing to fix.

Guys, sorry about what I'm going to say, but you just talked sh*t about the teensy costumes and I was right. You guys use to take for sure facts without fundaments, like the photographer being a teensy, Ly being the native american girl in the new trailer, and mr dark being that long-haired teensy with a hat. Stop taking things for sure when those wheren't confirmed, you can tell "resamblances", but you can't officialy take as true things that weren't confirmed.

Once again, I am not taking things I say for reality. I am HOPING they are reality, and BELIEVING they are until proven otherwise. And it's fun to speculate about whether or not the dreadded Teensie is the dreaded Mister Dark (see what I did there? ;)). Why not let us have some fun talking about the game series we love so much?

^see? we can talk normally. But some users (I won't say names because I don't want problems here) take everything they think as official. Maybe Ly changed her style, maybe is another fairy. Who knows? you can say "THAT'S TOTALLY MR DARK" as many times as you people want, but it won't be true until it's officialy announced :?

But there's a strong evidence that the Teensie wearing dark blue clothes inside that bubble is Mr. Dark.

If you use your brains, you will remember that there was an ARGUMENT about the Teensie costumes. You weren't the only one saying the console-exclusive theory is crap, and no one said it was facts. The Photographer is a Teensie. THAT'S a fact. The fairy from the trailer could be Ly, as was suggested, and no one said it was a fact. spiral proved to you that the Teensie from the trailer is Mr. Dark.
Besides, when did anyone officially confirm that the fairy who created Rayman is Betilla?! Well, I say she isn't! The whole thing is preposterous! Why would a red haired fairy with a green hat and a green bikini skirt be the same red haired fairy with a green hat and a green dress from another game?! Just because they look almost exactly alike and there is plotwise and gameplay-wise evidence that they are they same doesn't make them the same! We have to hear it from an official source!
(I hope you understand that I'm being sarcastic to prove a point. Also, this would be seriously embarrassing if I missed a confirmation of her being Betilla...)

A magazine confirmed that it was Betilla. I’m not sure, but I think it was the same one that gave us the Darktoons’ name.

There's no need to stress about this when the game is even closer to get released.

Ooh... No matter, that whole sarcasm bit was to stress a point. Anyway, thanks. I think I know what you're talking about.

Well, this topic has also been quite active so I find normal that some members lose a detail or other.

Actually, I read every single post since I signed up (not before, and not long boring off-topic argument posts). That's why I missed it.

But it is a good thing, the forum is way more active since the E3, especially after finishing the Record Day. I believe this topic will flood of activity in November.

Well,I think your right, but not in the photographer thing.See,teh photographer is obviously a Teensie, and he is a Teensie wether you like it or not. He's just a tall Teensie, but you can't say that's not a Teensie just because it's taller.

Actually, he's not taller. He's standing on a suitcase. This further proves that he is a Teensie.

Edit: In frosty Delight, the level where we unlock the shrink ability, Betilla shrinks sometimes and enters places where the players can't reach her. I thought maybe she does something of the sort in every such level (I.E. in the water level she would go underwater and you would have to walk above, etc.). However, I didn't have anything to support it except that video. Well, now I have-

Compare this to the one in the ice level-

The only difference in Betilla between the pictures is that in the desert level (the one in which you gain the ability to float), the Darktoon's hair is a HairlyCopter© and he is FLYING!!!

Antitoons also could fly in Rayman 1.
