I will have to fix the lock in our front door at some point. The latch started sticking for some reason a few days ago. It has to be pulled out for the door to even be able to lock. I'll have to take out the entire strip on the side that the lock is attached to and see if something either broke and got lodged in there, or if something else is going on.
Our front door had a similar issue, before we replaced it entirely with a new door. The deadbolt would be hard to unlock most of the time, it kinda just sticks and won't turn.
It was weird, but I guess better stuck locked than stuck unlocked.
Hopefully it'll be an easy fix for ya, man!

I’ve never had to do any construction stuff by my own, my grandpas worked in constructions for years. So they always can diagnose the problem and come up with a solution. Construction guys are excellent problem solvers!

Oh that's an odd one. The thing is that those locks are also expensive to replace. Though yeah, I'd probably prefer it to be locked than to not lock.
Our door also has another issue where it seems to be moving away from the frame at the bottom. Like there is a bit of a gap, and that's not going to be great as it's getting colder. I don't know if the hinge can be adjusted, but the bottom of the door is further from the frame, in the sense that the deadbolt has to travel further to meet the frame than it should, further away in that direction. Though it's also causing the door to have a gap the other way too, causing a draft.

Thanks, if I'm lucky, maybe I can figure out the hinge thing as well if I'm looking at the lock anyway. I hope they can be adjusted.

New husband might be added to the list. CRK just dropped one of the most handsome men I have ever seen.

That's a terrible colour to paint a hall, this isn't the 70s

You mean the 80s when everything was brown as hell?

I thought the 80s was more colourful, what with the synths and the glammy hair. I always took the 70s as the drearer era when it came to its colour palette.

That’s what 80s stereotypes are, I’ve asked many 80s kids and they said it was all so goddamn brown.

We definitely know video game consoles and computers of the eras certainly began having more colorful color palettes in the 80s too.

Maybe the architecture was in some places, but the media was very vibrant. Source: various sources.

So this is as good as a place as any for me to have a bit of a rant about some work related nonsense, not from my workplace itself, but the third party payment service used by QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
See, our vendors prefer being paid by ACH, it was a blessing when QuickBooks integrated a nice solution to make this easy as possible, or so I thought. I began to hate it more and more with this 3rd party service kept trying to push one-time use virtual credit cards upon our vendors, and refuses to change it for us and we have to make the vendor make them change it back to ACH.
As some of you may be aware, getting paid by credit card costs
money, you get charged fees, and those fees are not cheap. Usually in our line of business, the fees are past onto the consumers, but these vendors don't get to account for that ahead of time because of this change they didn't ask for.
So off a few emails go to vendors explaining the situation and asking them to email the support of this 3rd party service to get things corrected.

For the past couple days, I've got my little sister to play Celeste, and she recently finally got past chapter 3! Considering that her age isn't even in the double digits yet, it's honestly impressive how far she's gotten! (Even if I convinced her to play by promsing to give her 20$ if she beat chapter 7, but we dont talk about that)

Sorry to hear that. It's pretty frustrating when third parties mess up like this, especially since it's out of your control and will of course, affect customers in the process.

That's pretty cool that you're getting them into games like this pretty early, though the money being involved is a little amusing.

Surprisingly, one of our vendors got them to fix it pretty quickly. I haven't heard on the rest.

I hope she's been enjoying it at least?
I can't wait for my niece to get old enough I can teach her the ways of video games. One of the things I would like to do is get her started with some of the Rayman educational games. She'll be turning 3 years old early next year.

The reason I did the bet in the first place was actually because she beat the game with infinite dashes and invincibility, which kinda ruins the game imo, but once she started playing it normally she's surprisingly been loving it! The second third of chapter 3 was... rough, to say the least, but other than that she's been making steady progress, with her even trying to get the strawberries at times!
