I figure it's just a mistake, what do you guys think?

The article makes it ambiguous: are they referring to Bad Rayman from the first game or Dark Rayman from Arena? The former sounds more logical to me, given the fact that Bad Rayman is called Dark Rayman in the Game Boy Advance version. I suggest we wait until we get to see some footage of this character.

But I think we won't get footage of this character.Almost sure Ubi will just show footage of normal characters with their default skins,and they presumably won't show us more characters that Rayman,Globox and the Teensies.I wonder if Ly would be another playable character...I would like so.Well,I'm going round in circles.What I would want to say,is that I think he should out a "Bad Rayman (Also known as Dark Rayman)..." and later write that there's a skin of him in RO

Well, to me the faries/nymphs trapped in the cages had more green on them than Betilla, Betilla is more red and green, plus, in one of the previews, it says you have to free FAIRIES, not Betillas. *Can't be bothered to find it right now.*

Also, about the Dark Rayman Bad Rayman differences, in the first game Dark Rayman is what he's called, in Rayman Junior they changed the name to Bad Rayman, the Dark Rayman in Rayman Arena/M is a totally different Rayman, not to be confused with Dark Rayman from R1.

EDIT: Since when does Ly appear in RO? You mean the bubble BD makes of a witch/fairy with this headress and dark blue hair?

Simple confusion.That's not Ly at all and no mather what people think: That's NOT Ly.Maybe every character will have a redesign,but I don't think they'll completely change them.It's OK with Polokus because he's a shape-shifter,but Ly isn't!

Ah I see, simple confusion, anyway, I don't like Ly as much as Betilla, plus I don't see how she would fit into the story.

I prefer Ly before Betilla.I think Ly would fit as a fairy to save and wich would give you a power and as a playable character to unlock...

That an interview calls them fairies is just because of them not knowing anything about Rayman. If you compare the pictures of the fairies from the footage to the picture of Betilla from the concept art, you'll see they look exactly the same. Bad Rayman is called Bad Rayman in R1. Dark Rayman is from the GBC version and from Rayman Arena.

That just sickens me. It's the same thing Sergio was talking about. There's an argument about something, but you're divine, you're enlightened, you know all, and you say for a fact what you think as an opinion. She may be Ly, and she may not be. We'll just have to wait for an official source to address the matter.

Then sicken if you want but well,I'm not actually ensuring that.I'm telling that trying to auto-convince myself that's not Ly because I would hate her if she was that...thingamajig xD

In the video of the Xbox 360 gameplay it is much more visible the fluidness of the animations. I'm really amazed.

Yeah, I saw that to. It could be the camara or something. I hope the PS3 version will be as fluid as the Xbox 360 version.

That's absolutely wrong, Bad Rayman is only referred to as Dark Rayman in Rayman Advance, which is a port developed by Digital Eclipse and not by Ubi anyway. His real, original name appears in Rayman Designer and Rayman Junior, long before Rayman Advance came out. You are right, however on the fact that Dark Rayman is a totally different “character” (it's just one of Rayman's skins actually).

I’ve always considered the distinction between ‘Dark Rayman’ and ‘Bad Rayman’ to be an artificial one. ‘Bad Rayman’ sounds lame – perhaps it’s a poor translation. The Origins developers have shown that they are not going to slavishly follow all of the early names used in Rayman Designer and Rayman Junior (neither of which were played by many), and I would not be surprised if they changed ‘Bad Rayman’ to ‘Dark Rayman’ – it simply sounds better. The Dark Rayman in Rayman Arena was an alternate skin in one version of a non-canonical game, which is about as close to not existing as you can get. The design was also less than stellar – the cheesy bright-red eyes and gloves are no substitute for the creepy, almost vampiric pallor of the one in the original game.

Dark Rayman and Bad Rayman are simply two different takes on the same idea, and considering the borderline non-existence of the one in Rayman Arena (and the probability that it was inspired by the one in the original), I’ve never had any trouble regarding them as the same ‘character’.

I always thought Bad Rayman sounds...pathetic! There's no other word to say it.And I think the Dark Rayman in RO will be Bad Rayman with a new name

Time? Of course there'll be time. If there weren't any time, the game would be a static image - not very attractive, that would be - well, not for a game, at least.

And who knows if he's sleeping or not? In Rayman 2 he had his eyes open all the time as well, even though most of the time 'he spoke from within his dreams'. Polokus apparently sleeps with his eyes open.

I always thought that it was something like if you enter his dreams.He's awaken in his dreams,and you enter his dreams with the mask power and then you talk to him into his dream.But when you awaken him with the four masks,then it's when you really talk to him and when he's actually awaken
