And so are Rayman Origins and Legends. You don't even know how freaking excited I was when they announced Origins! I literally check the Origins site every day for news and I couldn't wait till it came out. And then when they announced Legends I was just out of my mind! So many years without Rayman, except for those pesky little rabbits, and then... all of a sudden 2 games in a row! I'm just a little worried they haven't announced a sequel (yet)

I just have to say that I really think Rayman 2 is kind of a disappointment on terms of gameplay. It's really easy and doesn't have much replay value after you beat it 100%.

Well I've played a little bit of one of those titles and I'm sure they are good games. Just it isn't what I'd personally like to see from the Rayman series. I feel they've lost their trademark style over Rayman 2 & 3.

I'm more of an Origins/Legends guy. They're way more fun than the original trilogy and in my opinion, they look way better in terms of creativity.

I'm probably a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to it

But in fairness, they have lost their style.

What do you mean by "their style"? Have you looked at Zelda games? Zelda games have many, many different styles. I don't think you can say a franchise can only have one style...

I'd say the Rayman games distinctive style is prominent throughout: 2, 3 & M.
Very nature based. Lots of wood. etc.

Hmm, it does seem that with the UbiArt saga, we've ended up with a similar divide in preferences as is with Classic and Modern eras of Sonic.

I never really thought the Rayman series had a distinct style. To be honest I think any style works for it, 2D or 3D.
(As long as it's not something completely ridiculous and abstract or something. But even then...

)

And even so UbiArt Rayman style can work in a 3D game!

@imco I 100% am with you on having checked the site daily for updates. And Origins is one of my favorite games if all time, but Legends was kinda meh due to how easy and story-less it was.
Personally I think raymans about ready for another redesign, his hoodie should be updated to something new I think, maybe a scarf.

I don't think Rayman needs a redesign, but I wouldn't mind having seen the last of that hoodie in favour of something like a scarf.

Mehh, I'm one of the lot who prefer the hoodie, there's nothing wrong with the scarf, but I find it a tad old-fashioned.

I know this is quite utopical, but I would like to see Rayman again with the Rayman 2 design. I think it was what Rayman's look should have been already back in Rayman 1.

I also prefer R2 design for 3D and 2.5D games so having that design return would be awesome. But for or R1 HD remake if they make it, they should remaster R1 design in my opinion.

I like the current look of Rayman. He looks good with a hoodie. :3
(Man, I'm biased as hell. lol c:)

Every look Rayman has had over all the games has its advantages. I would prefer to think this way: for one game in particular, do you think Rayman's look fits him or not?
Personnally, I can't make a choice, although I like RO and R1 a bit less in terms of Rayman. At least Rayman doesn't look completely dumb in RL.

Future game really needs to combine all Rayman aspects.

That could be a disaster though. Too many cooks and all that…
