Yeah. After Teensies, they obviously ran out of species from Rayman's world so humans was all they had left.

I actually liked the princesses as they were basically a playable more appropriate take on the Nymphs, but it's true they kind of miss the magic of the other species usually featured in the series. At least some of them had pretty creative designs.

Clearly they did. Anything other than humans would have gotten a better(?) reaction. And then on top of that, where's the personality??? I thought Eat at Joe's was a pretty cool level with its unique content like the flying saucers and the fish, and the fact that you basically make a return trip through the caves. The developers intended for this to be more obvious, but some of it ended up being cut from the final game.

I like the fact Rayman Redemption gave more use to the unused space in Eat at Joe's section 3 by hiding the Globox easter egg there.
It's really a unique level with plenty of great ideas, but the aquatic section simply killed any good reputation it could have got

Yeah, it's tough as you have to jump precisely on invisible bouncy tiles to get to him. Also just in case, are you playing in the latest version of the game (1.1.4)? Some easter eggs like Michel Ancel and the "Rayman 2" cutscene were only added in the final releases, so it wouldn't work in the older versions.
