Wow, you've got a lot of energy in store, I wouldn't be able to stay up for that long!SilverLum wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:03 pm up for 36 hours and now I'm not even tiredI've actually never stayed awake this long! But it was fun to do with others
I was only up for 32 hours I think and I'm not that tired either. But I am going to take a break soon.SilverLum wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:03 pm up for 36 hours and now I'm not even tiredI've actually never stayed awake this long! But it was fun to do with others

Congrats on that epic all-nighter!
In my case, I think I'm gonna go to bed in less than a hour despite the fact I've been up for only half a day, I'm starting to feel my energy running out!![]()
You feeling a little dizzy, Jade? It's hard for me to stand. How are you holding up?The Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:11 pmI was only up for 32 hours I think and I'm not that tired either. On my first record day, I was awake for 47 hours. I was so tired during it and felt so weird, but then when it was over I just had a few beers and stayed up for like 9 more hours.SilverLum wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:03 pm up for 36 hours and now I'm not even tiredI've actually never stayed awake this long! that's the weird thing about it! Your body just kicks back into gear after a certain time and you find it hard to sleep afterward. But 47 hours, that's a whole other beast. How long did you sleep after that? Did you hallucinate?Steo wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:14 pmOn my first record day, I was awake for 47 hours. Honestly yeah that happens, it's weird. That day I tried to sleep but I really just could not sleep. I wanted to try sleep most of the day and get up late, but I woke up at like 10AM after about 3 hours of sleep or something. I stayed in bed for hours but I just could not sleep. Also yeah, the hallucinations did happen a little while I was looking at my screen, such as seeing things at the corner of my eye moving when there was nothing there. It's strange what our bodies do.SilverLum wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:19 pm that's the weird thing about it! I do get strange surges of energy too when I barely sleep, never understood why the body feels that way when it happens! This occured during my training course in the last months when I slept for only about 4 hours during some days, and yet I ended up being one of the most energic people in the training during those times.SilverLum wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:12 pm I think my body is just running on reserves!Usually after 20 hours of no sleep you get a strange surge of energy. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's an interesting fact! You get some rest, alright Saturn?
I'm getting the double vision thing now, but 40+ hours is more the danger area for hallucinations. I think perhaps this is a survival tactic. If people are in danger and unable to sleep and need to keep moving, what better than a rush of adrenaline to keep us going?Steo wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:23 pmHonestly yeah that happens, it's weird. I will be honest, it didn't feel good at all. You start feeling horrible in ways you didn't even realise were possible after being awake for so long, and even become moody etc. My stomach even starts feeling sick from lack of sleep, so overall it was an awful experience. I was still happy to have done it though for the forum.Rayman Saturn wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:25 pm 47!?![]()
You really are made of something else! Absolutely impressive!![]()
So this really is a common phenomenon! That sounds like a relaxing way to wind down! You have a good night saturn!Rayman Saturn wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:25 pm
I think we all deserve a good rest right now!
I'm gonna go now and write down a few ideas for my novels since I couldn't really do it during RD, and then hopefully fall asleep quickly enough!
Well, see ya everyone and have a great night, we'll talk again tomorrow! It was a great time!
Or should I say, "Excellent"!![]()
Oh yeah, the stomach pain is something I experienced earlierSteo wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 11:28 pmI will be honest, it didn't feel good at all.
