I'd consider Goop to be an army on his own

The only army here are us PluMGMKs.

Ok as an army of 9 PluMGMK's, does that mean there are 9 happy places somewhere around this forum? Or do you all like, share the same happy place or something?
......
Oh now that I think about it, Greengoop's not around these lately ys huh. Which means I can
secretly give him Tings to change his rank and I can go back to being Joe.

I think the whole forum was his happy place today. As for Greengoop, where is he? I feel like I haven't even seen him in forever.

Hello everyone! I'm here to tell you I'm currently doing some research as to how I can make my self-esteem get better just as much as my mental health in general. I might even make a diary online (which will be on Tumblr) just so I stop bothering others with lots of negativity since it pisses people off. I also plan on hiding my negative emotions. If I had a bad day, I'll pretend everything's ok and live with it, I'll simply tell I'm fine while writing my thoughts in my diary, just so no one will see them here at least. In case I make people feel uncomfortable they can just say the word "feather" as a stop word. This decision was taken recently, just wanna make sure I'm still a good and really useful person (tho I can't see myself as one just yet)
Hope you all have a nice day and I didn't ruin it in any way

I'm glad to hear that you're taking steps toward bettering your self-esteem and mental health, but I don't quite think this is the best move. Suppressing your emotions and lying to yourself isn't the best way to handle them, especially since that can lead to mental and physical issues. You don't have to share anything that you don't want to, but just remember that it's okay to not be okay and it's okay to share that.
I can't speak for everyone, but speaking for myself, I don't get annoyed when I hear that folks have had a bad day. That's just a part of life, unfortunately, and if there's some way I can help them with that, I probably will. You're not making me, if not all of us, uncomfortable or ruining our day by sharing how you feel. Hiding your emotions almost always ends up being problematic in the long run, so if letting others know what's going on makes you feel better, then I say don't hesitate to. Way more often than not, it can only do you good.
Have a great rest of your day Kiza!

I really don't want to be the one to say this, but...Doesn't making blog posts online for everyone to see what you're really feeling (and not saying) kinda contradict the entire point of keeping a diary? Heck, I keep a diary myself, as a private place to jot down any mentally unstable or horrible feelings I have. I do this to share these observations with my therapist later, so that we can address my feelings safely and personally.
I sincerely hope you aren't getting your research and methods from Tumblr, I've seen firsthand what the peer pressure of others' beliefs can do.

Agreed. Keeping your feelings bottled up and denied truth will only shatter the bottle in the end, hurting you and inadvertently those around you. There's no shame in having bad days or bad feelings. There's also many a post here of people seeking support in hard times from their friends on the forum. The RPC is still publicly online, yes, but no one's a stranger here. Just be aware of what you share and who will see it.
Mental health is a war in and of itself, but wars aren't fought alone. With the right actions, thoughts and confidents, any battle can be won.

I already harmed the ones I once cared for. I'm pretty sure that if I get better and come back to them I'll relapse an make things worse. I think that despite any concerns for me they ee me as someone dangerous. I can't blame them.
Though I must admit: keeping a diary private is the better solution.

Turns out, Myrient just got shut down already back in March 31, 2026 even in April 1, 2026 on indonesia time. However I saw that there's alternative one which Myrient was already down and succeeded by
MiNERVA Archive.

Just took the ACT. I'm not sure when the results come out, but my goal is for anything above a 31, as my practice test score from this fall was a 30 (For context, the highest score you can get is a 36). I... Am extremely worried

Especially if you're not careful about boiling off the methanol
That's the problem with homemade stuff, you hope they know their stuff but you can never be sure.
So today I'm trying a rather different, yet somewhat related experiment:

- Two grams of yew microstrobili in an alumina crucible
Instead of female berries, I'm carbonizing these male cones (microstrobili) at 1000 °C, which will presumably also remove all the toxins!

More importantly, it will be interesting to see what kind of microstructure (if any

) I get in the resulting char…

Have you analyzed the pore size and surface area of your previous chars? What do you plan to use it for?
I've seen similar treatments using orange peels and pine resin to obtain pollutant adsorbents, so I'm just curious...

I wish!

There's only one gas adsorption machine shared between several groups, and it's booked out all the time!

Then it has happened that I finally did get a decent chunk of time on it, but then the university happened to run out of liquid nitrogen that week!

Actually that almost happened again today, but at least I was able to get some LN
2 from the reserve this time, so hopefully I will have some good data in the morning!
Most of the isotherms I've got have been weird (negative slope) but I finally realized that I can apparently avoid whatever issue is causing that (the instrument scientist has a few theories) by using larger quantities of powder. So I think I have good data for the
alder (not larch
) cone char, and I have measurements currently running on KOH-activated versions of it!

For me it's all about sulfur confinement in metal-sulfur battery cathodes (which I haven't yet had much success with

), but a lot of the papers I've read have been about pollutant adsorption too!

Working with such small amounts is a pain in the ass. Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago, and I had to use about 200 mg of the sample to get a more reasonable result.
PluMGMK wrote: Mon Apr 13, 2026 11:13 pm
KOH-activated versions of it!
Treating your material with KOH should open up its pores. Your material is probably a bit more amorphous than the one I'm working with, but be careful with concentrated KOH... It might end up ruining your material (source: it happened to me, and I had to dilute it to 0.1M

)

In my case, I initially followed my supervisor's suggestion and put 6 g of KOH pellets in a crucible with 2 g of precursor – and got a lovely melt that did
not stay inside the crucible!

Since then I've determined that ~1.5 g KOH is the max I can put in a crucible, and I've built my recipes around that, and using a wet impregnation technique to get it all through the sample before thermal treatment…

You still have more than enough KOH relative to the material, so there shouldn't be a problem

If activation with KOH doesn't work for you, an alternative is activation with H2O2, provided you have a microwave...

I knew it sounded familiar. I think I have a paper from your group (if it's the one I think it is) downloaded and saved in the folder with the 100000000 other papers

So the gas adsorption tests I ran yesterday worked like a charm, and the surface area figures finally look good. I should talk about my work here more often, it seems to improve my luck!
Here's how the yew cones looked this morning (before I ground them into a powder

):

- 0.4 grams of carbonized yew microstrobili in blackened crucible

So I found out that the Portal EDM track was in Audiosurf's game files all along. I have no idea why it's there but maybe I can play it in the game. Just to see how it will turn out

Also hope everyone's ok and ain't feeling paranoid over me being here- yes I haven't let it go yet, sorry about this.
OH and one more thing before I go do my stuff: I recently bought Euro Truck Simulator (2008) and Super Meat Boy thanks to the sales on Steam and I enjoyed both of them! And I'm glad I can make the truck stories, I made the first episode. It's basically about brothers working as truck drivers/masters for the first time and it all starts in UK where they're currently living. I'd like to see what will turn out from such a project. I might make the playlist just for it if I don't forget hehe
Soooo off I go. For now at least.

Which track is that? There was a
cross-promotion between Audiosurf (and a bunch of other games) and Portal just before the launch of Portal 2 (fifteen years ago this month!

), so that's probably why!
