It helps when I had a PM in my inbox from you with such details.
When did you change your name anyway?

Late last year. I think it was either November or December.

Ah ha, what made you decide to change it?

'RayFan' at the time, when I was eleven, I thought was clever. Not because it's a combination of 'Rayman' and 'fan,' but because that's the name of the Rayman Forever CD as displayed digitally. In light of this, because of that misconception, there have been a load of other RayFans as well, and it's become pretty unoriginal. Also, don't like numbers in usernames. Also, it's named after my favourite Muse album, Absolution.

That makes perfect sense in that case, especially in terms of originality. I have at least two online identities original for me that I use.

I have a dozen or so, but I'm careful never to do or say anything that might link one to another.

Hm, you live a life of MPS on the internet, spiral?

Sometimes I think numbers in names can be quite creative. LEETspeak is of course the most standard way of using numbers, but not always the most attractive. I like it when numbers replace sounds like in phone text-speech (m8, 1derful). Rhyming words and numbers has a nice ring too.

I have a couple of secret nicknames, but it is in very specific situations.

I have no idea what that means, so probably not.

? I thought this was a very common acronym:
Multiple-Personality Syndrome
although technically it's called Multiple Personality Disorder which is MPD...
But why would you not want to link your online accounts? Personal reasons, or do you just not want people who know you from elsewhere trolling you (understandable)?

When I post on a site regularly I always end up revealing personal information. This is bad enough without people being able to collate information on me from multiple sites, and if anyone I know in real life ever manages to figure out one of my identities, at least they won't have instant access to all my others.

Yeah, I guess... But one (with moderate intelligence that is) doesn't give away
that much personal details, does he?

If you make eleven thousand posts in one place, you're going to let things slip, especially if you start as a young teenager.

As long as I don't have any vital details such as my address anywhere on the Internet, then it doesn't really matter to me. If I have any remotely personal info up anywhere (excluding my name or photos and such), it isn't available to the public.

Very strong points; I expected that was the reasoning behind your choice - I have a similar one, although I'm a little more comfortable giving out small details.
