Nintendo Direct today! the japanese presentation was already shown some hours ago, it was about the japanese launch of Wii U and games that we already know (though they showed more gameplay of Pikmin 3 and Game & Wario). They also talked about Rayman Legends. Yes, Iwata talking about Rayman, that's unusual. It's probable that the American presentation will feature a new trailer and the release date of the game. There will be also an european presentation.

EDIT: Forget it...

I watched it, but no Rayman Legends.

I liked the beginning, though. XD LEGO Iwata!

And Shibata singing... 8'D

only the japanese Nintendo Direct mentioned Rayman Legends, and it said it would come out sometime in 2013, nothing special, even the trailer they showed was reused. I liked the new enemies in Pikmin 3, especially the creature that shines in the dark. I'm a bit skeptical about Game & Wario, I love the Warioware series, but this one is taking the "Nintendo Land direction" and that's something that I'm not too enthusiastic about.

Honestly I think it's a good thing that Wii U gets exclusives. That's how ya get more people to buy the system.

Okay, maybe some people don't like this, but marketing techniques all. Also good support for a new console.

There are games that by themselves they also sell consoles, so its nothing more nothing less than a marketing strategy.

Game & Wario is a good break from the usual. Personally, they can put another Wario World on the table for me. However, if they do it like this there will be fans talking shit about the change, but if they kept it it would be talked shit about because it is the same thing again. Let Mario Party 9 be a perfect example of this.

Well, this ND cemented my idea of waiting with buying a Wii U. Pikmin 3... after March? I'd better start cleaning PC/Wii backlog instead of buying new stuff. Game & Wario doesn't interest me too much so far, although it gets boonus points for having recursion potential (Wareception?).

There are lots of people shitting on Paper Mario Sticker Star, Star Fox Adventure, Metroit Other M, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Zelda Skyward Sword, Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts and Mario Sunshine... even Rayman Origins just for being a 2d game. I think this will be the first Warioware in the series to be bashed, no matter if it is good, it's different, there will be always people bitching about it. I hope it at least has real fun minigames, I already liked the 9-Volt minigame where you have to use the gamepad to play a remake of Warioware for gameboy advance while your mom (shown on the screen) isn't watching you. It's a really creative way to use the potential of the gamepad.

Personally Game and Wario*** definetly seems like a game I would totally get, it doesn't look bad at all, though oddly enough, I wish it were more of those fast minigames in which you had to beat fast endlessly, but hey this still looks great!

edit: Since I just watched ND right now I gotta say, I love how 9-volts level is a throwback to the original Warioware, really neat concept!

As a Metroid fan, I have all the reasons to shit on MOM whose really sucks.

It was decent in some ways, but in other ways, it came across as insulting, I guess.

The reason why Other M sucked was because Samus was represented as a weak character, while in the rest of the games she's a badass. Still has good gameplay, great graphics and decent voice acting for a Nintendo game.

It also sucked because: it's painfully linear with no sequence breaking (What is the point of a metroidvania?)
Adam is a obnoxious tyrant
The black dude (forgot the name) is a annoying cliché
the identity of the traitor is painfully obvious since the beginning
the way Samus unlocks her equipement
the famous scene with R*****
The anticlimatic final battle
...

I agree the gameplay was pretty decent and some of the bosses were good (but not all of them). For me, it's still the worst metroid game, even worse than Metroid Prime Hunters on ds.

Well, maybe I'm off topic.

What was the black guy's name? Tyrone? oh well, whatever. He wasn''t cliché in my opinion. The only think that made me laugh hard was the "remembuh me?" thing, but that's all. He's a decent character in my opinion, also:
Adam is a obnoxious tyrant
the way Samus unlocks her equipement
the famous scene with R*****
All that enters in the "weak character" category.

Actually, cliche black guys die as soon as possible. This is totally not what happens to Anthony in M:OM. And the only thing really does not qualify in this list as a story-based issue is the game being linear. Well, I prefer it being linear to the SPAM EVERY TILE WITH BOMBS approach used in some other Metroids.

Super Mario Sunshine wasn't a bad game, I personally like the plot and the ecological message that is around it, but I think its a unnecessarily frustrating game. *Looks to the Blue Coins and some Shine Sprite locations*
