Plus you need those sort of permissions to delete another admin (Ms. Kleaneasy). Who knows, maybe it was her account that got hacked, and they created two other admins or the like before deleting her's. Actually, that'd make sense since you can't really track the IP's that were logged into that account anymore.

At least they were thorough this time.

@Phoenixan: I do find this a little over-the-top though, I've been co-admin on a forum using exactly the same system (Eve) and as far as I know, the 'Super Admin' permission is actually one permission that gives 100% control in the admin panel, any module or API, and the whole memberbase. Both the whole permission system and the login module (which uses the 'OneCommunity' function that connects forum accounts with general Ubi accounts on their servers) are pretty secure and nobody has ever reported problems with them to Groupee as far as I know. If Ubisoft took good advantage of Eve's admin system, they should've only given their first and general admin account 'the member Admin' the 'Super Admin' permission. Now I really wonder who was hacked to make this possible but I'm sure this is also some kind of mistake from Ubisoft..

No, the Eve system is nothing more than the forums (although it has chat and portal functions too but they're not using it), and the webspace that comes with their Eve account is used just for storing avatar images and ofcourse, the forum database. Ubisoft has it's one datacenter and that's the place were their main site, their downloads, their game sites, and online play servers are hosted. However, you do in fact login to the forums with your Ubi.com account, the Eve system has an application that's allowing them to connect the forum's database, which is stored on Eve, to their own site's database, and is able to change the login page to their own. By removing a forum account you will not remove the Ubisoft account, when Kleaneasy logs back into the forums, the forum will just create a new account for her via her Ubi.com one. Maybe this is the thing that made the security vulnerable I'm not sure..

lel this is pretty amazing tbh... at least arzo has a sense of humour. maybe they wanted a spare admin account so that they could hack in future, but i changed my pass just in case. :0

i'd tell kleaneasy when the forums get back online but of course she'd probably just throw a huge hissy fit like normal, so i'll msn razz instead i think. i've long since learnt my lesson about trying to help that woman with anything. -_-

Whoever did it proved us once again that even Ubi admins can get phished or hacked, which I find quite funny to be honest Even without ARZO, the Ubi forums keep getting hacked. Really, RZ will always be crap if they don't separate it from the other Ubi forums.

I have to admit that it does indeed bear the one of the most flawed security systems I've witnessed on the net.

Or maybe as Newray says, they just don't use the system PROPERLY. Either way, we can just conclude that it is all flawed. :\

Doesn't matter too much...as long as we don't post something valuable to us that can never be seen again after a hacking, the events shouldn't effect us too much...

I'm actually starting to wonder why they even have a Rayman message board. I'd imagine they'd feel pretty stupid after being hacked several times, so why create more chances to become a humiliation to the Internet?

Oh and I wonder how long it will actually take for them to restore/restart the forums. Probably weeks, knowing their hideous unreliability

They have a Rayman forum because without it there's nowhere else for the dipshit yuppies that buy Raving Rabbids for their kids to keep asking how to turn the Wii on or how to grapple. They're horrific typing really makes me curious about where half of their members come from and how old they are.

i think the avaerage age group of new users is somewhere between 3 and 8.

We don't know who is responsible for the latest hack of RZ, but we fully support them. The fate of RZ is inexorable.
