My fate has ben redeemed, and it seems Ubisoft is doing a great job on getting appeal on this game from the public and the series fanbase. Haven't played it yet myself, but have watched some videos. It's nice to see they're adding all kinds of good touches, such as the characters talking and interacting, yet they've changed Rayman's voice once again, it's not bad though, more like his older vocals. I really do like the environments themselves, colorful, vivid and huge, with nice music to synch with.

I personally love the giant gladiator with the club, his dopey giggle and Homer Simpson-esque scream when beaten are priceless.

Ubisoft...I hate you a little less now :)

I must say I like the idea of costumes instead of skins.

I mean Knight Globox for example.

That's Toad Globox, he has the light-green spots and a big brown belt. Knight Globox is similar, but wears a metallic mask and a dark-green belt.

Assuming that they're the same character with different costumes, I assume that they don't deserve separate articles on the wiki, or do they?

We could add a simple 'another appearance of Globox is him in a variety of costumes, including a Knight, a (...) and (...) etc.' - but then in words that make sense.

I liked seeing some more demo videos, but in my opinion, as much as I like the idea, but having Murphy as a playable character seems like an unnecessary addition to the game. I may have only seen videos, but I think the game would be more fun without Murphy rendering each enemy defenseless, flipping all the switches, rotating all the platforms, and in short, it seems like Murphy is doing most of the work.

Fortunately ,the levels with Murphy are optional according to what we've heard so far.

If there was a bit more strategy in defeating foes and in the cooperation between players, it would be a much more novel idea. At least they're actually using the Wii U Gamepad in a creative, new way. Utilization of the new controller has been largely mediocre or just plain terrible in all the launch titles.

I don't know, man... Nintendo Land, and Zombi U did a decent job in that area, and The Wonderful 101 is also taking that route. Even NSMB U had a pretty basic use for it, but when you try it, it is pretty awesome.

I'm pretty sure third parties will know how to potentially use the controller, like happened to NDS. I wouldn't be surprised if some games took this direction:

Though I have to agree, the use of the gamepad in games like Batman or Tekken was mediocre.

Also... GLOBOX AND RAYMAN TALK!!!
I'm surprised that Globox's talk makes sens.

Globox already talked with sense in Rayman 2, I don't see the surprise.

Wait what, they talk? Where? When?

I've seen many versions of the demo. Although the characters can vary, the dialogues remain equal, so those dialogues aren't exclusive for Globox but every character in the roster. They talk, but the dialogues won't define their personality. That's.... disappointing.

This didn't work at all with the Wii, why do you think it'll work with the Wii U?

Having played through the demo now three times, I can tell you it's Knight Globox that's playable, not Toad Globox. Also I can't get the Teensies In Trouble theme out of my head, it's so darn catchy. This track and Toad Story will definitely be one of the highlights of the soundtrack. Does anyone else concur?

I...love...the...Teensies in Trouble...music

It has nice vibe to the environemnt and is quite catchy, the music for Toad Story as well is excellent for the ears because it reminds me of those peaceful tunes from the Desert of Didgeridoos, but with more vibe to it.

I also love how the secrets are done, I mean, Teensie cage right behind you at the start of the first level = WIN. And the Livingstones scream like little girls when they get hit LOL
