Acarr wrote:Has anybody got Animal Crossing: lets go to the city? It's a kids game, I know, but I really want to test out wii speach and such. Plus it sucks as half the game requires you to be connected to others.
I have it! And wii speak! I traded my RRR games for it.

I just played the Project Origin demo released about a week ago. Highest settings with anisotropy set at 16x and anti-aliasing at 2x, along with a 1152x864 (being modest because I didn't know how my system would handle it) resolution. It looks great, plays great, and I had a lot of fun with it. (And 1152x864 with 2x anti-aliasing is actually very smooth-looking. Usually you'd need to bump up one of the two to avoid jagged edges, though even with just 2x, everything looked perfectly smooth...which I liked, because it's actually a fairly demanding game otherwise.)

What's next, 1680 x 1050 resolution?
Well, I just played this music here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9JokjNzVtE&fmt=18 and it really pounds. Could start hearing things in my closet vibrate as well as something on my table.

I love loud music.

I could try a 2048x1536 with this monitor if I wanted a slideshow. (Mine's got an E6750, 3GB RAM, and an 8800GS.) They actually recommend boosting the anti-aliasing over the resolution for better visuals, which is different from the norm. (I've always found that 2x anti-aliasing is perfectly fine though for everything except Crysis and all its foliage...) 1152x864 with 2x anti-aliasing is surprisingly very clean in Project Origin though.
And loud music is good.

My desktop's got an E7400 overclocked to 3.6GHz, 3GB DDR2 PC2 8500 RAM, Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard, ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB PCI-e 16x Graphics card, 80GB SATA HDD, and air cooling. This thing runs everything I got at 1680 x 1050 at max settings. I run Bioshock at that, Half-Life series at that, and a few other games I have at that and it runs perfectly well. I also run Windows Vista on it.

I thought you upgrade to a higher graphics card?
