That article was a fascinating read, even though I didn’t understand most of it. There’s too much interesting information in there to even list.StaceyW wrote:Yeah it came this morning. I'm not surprised by how long it took to get here actually since it took about 2 weeks for my TV series DVD to come from France.
Here are the scannie-scans! They're rather wonky but I just hope it's readable, all we need now is a Frenchie to translate all 10 pages of it for us. =)

Someone needs to translate this.
maybe we could all work together! I'm willing to help translate the first page!Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:I have a feeling that when this is fully translated, it will be a major breakthrough for Rayman fans everywhere. It will probably take a while to translate all of the pages, though.
Photoshop? really? Never knew it was around that long.StaceyW wrote:From what I could make out of the article
- Rayman 1's backgrounds were apparently designed in Photoshop [been around a LOT longer than you think] while the characters were designed in Deluxe Paint, which is a painting app on the Amiga.
- The music was apparently composed on something called QBase on the Atari ST
That's about it for now
Photoshop's been around since the late 80s.Rayfist090 wrote:Photoshop? really? Never knew it was around that long.StaceyW wrote:From what I could make out of the article

Yup, in the late 80s on an old Mac. And I want to show you this video:RayFan9876 wrote:Photoshop's been around since the late 80s.
Outstanding. Photoshop in the 80's!? Simply amazing, thanks for the infoPowerPatrick wrote:Yup, in the late 80s on an old Mac. And I want to show you this video:RayFan9876 wrote:Photoshop's been around since the late 80s.
But I still prefer Gimp as my main raster graphics editor, which can be really powerful if you know how to use it.
Wanna know what's more incredibly outstanding? Realtime animated semi-realistic 3D computer graphics in 1972.Rayfist090 wrote:Outstanding.
I like all the concepts better than the current Razoff. Except the one with a large screw in its gun. A male Begoniax would've made the Begoniax/Razoff thing make more sense. The glowing fingers guy is pretty neat, but I love the one just above it better than any of the other ones. Just imagine that, but at Razoffs current size, and still acting all fancy. The one with a sword and mechanically enhanced legs seems to comical. Way to comical for Razoffs creepy mansion.Tulio wrote:
I don't know if it's rare, but I hardly ever see R3 concept arts. Is there any site with all of em collected?
Do you mean Begoniax?ParadoxJuice wrote:A male Bettilla would've made the Bettilla/Razoff thing make more sense.
I'm sure he does.Jewish Candy wrote:Do you mean Begoniax?ParadoxJuice wrote:A male Bettilla would've made the Bettilla/Razoff thing make more sense.
It says in the green window on the fifth page that the characters were designed on paper, then scanned into a computer. I suppose they used Deluxe Paint to manipulate the sprites afterwards. The backgrounds seem to have been created solely in Photoshop.StaceyW wrote:From what I could make out of the article
