My already built in store desktop was 500$
Then the wasn't being bought from a comparable brand. My advice for desktops would be to ditch any kind of pre-assembled brand and custom-select your hardware. If you aren't sure how, find someone who can offer in good input and have them do it for you. You can build a desktop with the power of a $600 laptop for probably around $200-300. Remember, this advice isn't just for the technically savvy, it's for everyone (hence why I said find someone to do it for you if you can't), because you can end up saving so much money it's ridiculous.ZeptoRay wrote:We paid only 600$ for my laptop and what is on it would cost 1200$ on a desktop. My laptop have a better graphic card, free space and pretty much the whole performance as a whole than any desktop sold here. I guess its different depending where you live because they sell shitty desktops for crazy prices here.
The only thing we found similar to that was Dell but it ended up over 1000$ and without screen, keyboard or anything. I'd get a desktop if I had any use in doing some thing big like you're doing with ROTD, or if I actually needed one. But i'm just doing drawings and playing games while my laptop is build for gaming. I was actually supposed to get a desktop but its my dad's choice, I can't chose what I want because of his "when you're 18 you can chose" thing.Adsolution wrote:Then the wasn't being bought form a comparable brand. When my PC was built from scratch in 2007, everything got for about 1000€, while I see desktops and laptops much more expensive than this and always with an inconvenient, almost always involved with a hardware installed. The result is that my PC still works and holds fine the current generation of software and tasks, and it can still hold for at least two years more.Adsolution wrote:Actually, desktops are cheaper (when comparing hardware obviously). Not sure where you heard otherwise.ZeptoRay wrote:Well a laptop cost less than a desktop and if you you aren't going to do big things then its better to get a laptop.
Well, do take note that all I was saying is that if you custom-build a desktop, you can get one of equal power to whatever laptop you got. Not in terms of making it extremely powerful, it's just equal mediocre power for a third the price.ZeptoRay wrote:The only thing we found similar to that was Dell but it ended up over 1000$ and without screen, keyboard or anything. If I ever need a new one I will think of that before searching for anything then.Adsolution wrote:Well, do take note that all I was saying is that if you custom-build a desktop, you can get one of equal power to whatever laptop you got. I really don't understand parents who say that.ZeptoRay wrote:I can't chose what I want because of his "when you're 18 you can chose" thing.
I had to share until I was fifteen or so. Suffice to say, it was pretty unbearable for me.Master wrote:I share my room with my bro, who tends to go downstairs, leaving the room to myself, so I have a bit of room to mess about in.
I don't either, they aren't the one that are going to have or use the thing, why should it be their choice.OldClassicGamer wrote:I really don't understand parents who say that.ZeptoRay wrote:I can't chose what I want because of his "when you're 18 you can chose" thing.
Your social skills here are quite good.ZeptoRay wrote:I don't have a job though, I am socially inapt to get a job. So my parents paid for it since my mom was sick of me using her's for years.
There isn't any rules about that, I wonder what country have rules about working when you're 16.emshomar wrote:2 words: Save pocketmoney!
Plus, you're 16! How come that there's no possible job for you? Why not work as a cassier or deliverer or somethin? Or .... wait..... you're not in the same country as I am aren't you? So there are different rules that controlls and manipulates you.. sorry for stealing your time!
Because I am not talking in person to anyone here but by writing, which is easier for me. I have high social anxiety and phobias and on top of it shyness that doesn't help me at all.OldClassicGamer wrote:Your social skills here are quite good.ZeptoRay wrote:I don't have a job though, I am socially inapt to get a job.
