Re: Rayman Origins
If it is true, then I'm betting on the Bubble Dreamer making a copy of the black TW, smiliar to how he will make copies as in skins.

I think Mr Dark will have nothing to do with any character we've seen, just with the supposed final Mr Dark wioth the top hat and which whe thought he was an old manRulez wrote:If it is true, then I'm betting on the Bubble Dreamer making a copy of the black TW, smiliar to how he will make copies as in skins.

Re: Rayman Origins
Are you saying that this perfectly legitimate narrative method should not be used simply because it existed twelve years ago? That’s ridiculous. Platforms existed back then too – does that mean the new game should not have platforms? Rather than waste time attempting to justify something which is clearly legitimate, I will simply say that the Wizard Teensy may turn into Mr Dark in a cutscene which is played at the very end of the game, when the player has completed every level 100%, including the ones which take place after the final boss.TeensieKing wrote:That would be a shit. You can't just apply a 1999 method to fix a problem today.Anyways they won't do that, because Ancel say you'd unlock new levels after beating the final boss and this couldn't be possible if the game doesn't save after the final bossspiraldoor wrote:That’s a rather easy obstacle to overcome; the developers could simply make it so that it’s impossible to save after the final level, just like in Rayman 2.Till the moment I have heard that Mr Dark could be the Magician and the Teensie Wizard. And I'm almost sure none of those theories are true.I think Mr Dark won't have anything to do with any other character and the Mr Dark will be Mr Dark since the very start
We already know that Mr Dark will not be Mr Dark from the beginning of the game, as it’s been confirmed that it will detail his ‘origins’, and the developers have already gone to the trouble of establishing a method through which good characters can be corrupted – the Bubble Dreamer’s nightmares.
You may not like the idea that one of our heroes becomes Mr Dark, but face it: if the developers decide to do it, nothing will stop them.

Re: Rayman Origins
But the developer won't decide that.Maybe other character, but not the Wizard.Because even if you have beaten the game 100% every good platformer game has te option to repead levels as long as you want.I didn't mean that the method can't be used because it existed twelve years ago.I'm saying that could have fitted well in 1999 but now it is quite shabby...
I didn't mean too that Mr Dark will be bad since the start.I meant that I don't think that a good character will be corrupted and I don't even think they'll corrupt a HERO.I think Mr Dark will be good at the start and bad at the end,but not the Wizard.Maybe the teensie with the tube

ON no-save-afterfinal-boss: Ocarina 3D uses that thing for sure, although with a minor twist and I can't say it is annoying in any way. A lot of games behaved like that and it's already quite a tradition. It's after all better solution than R1's one.

Re: Rayman Origins
You're a genius! I love that idea!spiraldoor wrote:Actually the idea that one of Rayman’s Teensy friends was corrupted by the nightmares of the Bubble Dreamer and became Mr Dark is brilliant. It would also explain why the developers went the route of creating a new character to be one of the four playable ones – he might not be a new character at all. Assuming that the zombie granny who instigated the invasion is the game’s final boss, and the corruption of the Teensy takes place immediately afterward the final battle, everything makes perfect sense. Perhaps the shot of the Mr Dark Teensy on the hilltop in the second trailer is the last thing we’ll see at the end of Rayman Origins, right before the credits roll – meaning that he’s just summoned an army and is on his way to steal the Great Protoon, which is where the original game kicks in. This would add new meaning to both Rayman Origins and Rayman 1, and I like it very much.TeensieKing wrote:I don't think the Teensie Wizard will be Mr Dark because the Wizard will still be playable and will always be smiling and if he became against his friends then he wouldn't be playable and help you xD he'd be retarded hahaha
About the new-levels-after-final-boss, you had it wrong, guys. He said new levels'll be unlocked after the final boss of the main mode! That is to say, the actual final boss will be in the LotD, and no new levels will be unlocked after him. And spiral, that method of not being able to save after the final boss is ridiculous. Some modern games may use it, but it's unlike such a game as RO to do such a thing. I remember how I was frustrated when I learned that that's what they did in Tonic Trouble. I mean, that game's all about exploring. One of my happiest simulated places in video games is the South Plain.
Edit: someone commented in one of my videos and said that he played the game in CC. I asked him what the controls were and if there is a button for running. This is his reply:
dogzilla0578 wrote:oh no bro its coolits really simple and slick controls. Jump, Punch, Hover and yes you do have a button for running.

*sigh*, my dearest friend, before you maybe even joined, we got to know about a world known as Land of the Dead, which a few days ago was misspelled by some interviewers, as they unpurposely called it the same as a world in Rayman 3.TeensieKing wrote:Then he's wrong. It's LotLD (Land of the Livid Dead) and I don't know how does he know that there won't be more levels after that.Michel Ancel never said thatRulez wrote:Land of the Dead.TeensieKing wrote:I'm not sure of the meaning of this text...And I don't know what's LotD.iambored2006 wrote: About the new-levels-after-final-boss, you had it wrong, guys. And after you finish the final boss you unlock darker versions of the normal levels, that's what he meant.
...and he did.

I think he's an unlockable skin. And I don't see a reason for him to be playable in LotD.Rayman3DS wrote:In LotD(LotLD) you prob. play as Dark Rayman
