Hurricane Irma is closing in on Florida. Preparations are being made in case it does hit where I live.

The hurricane has downgraded to Category 4. They say here it's going to be 50-75 mph winds, as opposed to the 145+ mph winds of the actual hurricane.

It started raining today which cleared away the forest fire smoke - now we can see further than a few hundred metres in front of us, great. This is the second time this month there's been wildfire smoke coverage, and both times it's made the air stink and the grass totally dry up and die everywhere.

Ever since the strong winds have passed, it has been nothing but sunny skies with few white clouds. Still in the mid 80s (Fahrenheit).
