Re: Rayman 1
The story goes that the R2 Dev team saw Crash Bandicoot at E3, were inspired by it and came to the conclusion that 3D was the way forward.
At least, that's how I remember it.

Thats correct Master.

Re: Rayman 1
Meh, I don't hate people who like the game, and I don't really mind the concept of the games itself, it's more to do with the Crash aspect of it.
Re: Rayman 1
Crash of The Titans would be much better game if it did not had Crash's name slapped on it which was obviously done to make sales better. It would work so much better if they included brand new characters for the game. I liked the game but I don't see it as a Crash game.
Re: Rayman 1
I 50% agree on it not being a crash game.
The feel of it felt like a crash game, but at the same time it wasn't anything like the original 3 (even though i've only played 1 and 3
)
Then again I think the Developers tried to do something new.

Re: Rayman 1
Try something new they did, to such an extent where some of the most iconic and integral portions of the Crash formula were replaced or completely omitted. One of the reasons I don't mind and appreciate Twinsanity is because they stuck with the formula for the most part, but changed some aspects to make it feel fresh, yet familiar. Titans went too far to the point where it doesn't have the same feel as Crash games of past.

It seems like you guys are off the topic. But, LOL, I agree Picture City was a nightmare. Though, to me, it was the kind of difficulty that makes you roll on the floor laughing because of how hard it is. Especially Pencil Pentathlon (UGH!) when you had to slide down and jump through that tunnel of pencils.Master wrote:Playing it is hell incarnate, eesh, we really ought to hold a moments silence to all the controllers hurled and objects destroyed due to its difficulty.

I never was able to get pass Picture City, it was too hard for me when I was younger but now I'm stuck at Band Lands and I don't know why.MisterDark'sFanClub wrote:But, LOL, I agree Picture City was a nightmare. Lets see how many people beat it, yes!
Apparently my dad beat it but I seriously doubt it. He really suck at every game I have seen him play except splinter cell.

Re: Rayman 1
I beat it few times with even recorded proof. I did not beat PC version though.

Re: Rayman 1
That reminds me of a funny anecdote about the PC version, if anyone cares.
First time I'd ever heard of Rayman, my older brother and I were about 7 and 6 I think, and we'd always watch our cousin play Rayman. None of us could get past Band Land, though, so that became the world I remembered most from the game. (I'd fallen in love with it instantly, of course.)
Well, years had past before we'd had any more contact with Rayman games, and while my love for it never subsided, and my bro and I would amuse ourselves with Rayman Rush, it was never quite the same without Rayman 1.
Then, one fateful day, about 5 years later, a different cousin of ours had been giving away his stuff, and our mother had it all in a big box and was pulling stuff out to give to us. She'd pulled out a game and asked us if we wanted it, and she said it was called Rayman. At that moment we both rushed over to her, leaving dust clouds in the shapes of our bodies behind us. My bro let me have it, but since it was on PC, we couldn't play it yet.
As childhood memories came rushing back, I'd finally gotten back into Rayman. Unfortunately, my bro was mad at me one day, and he SCRATCHED THE DISC TO DESTRUCTION!!!!!! Thus severring my ties to Rayman for another 6 years!
But 6 years later, and surprisingly this was only a few months ago, I'd gotten back into Rayman yet again. And I went and bought the PS1 version, having not found it anywhere else, let alone even remembering it was on PlayStation at all. And I've been playing the crap out of it ever since, drawing Rayman and Mister Dark nonstop, writing Rayman fanfictions, and joining this forum!
The point of this story is that I'm REALLY not a PC person. My heart and talent are with PlayStation. So it was for the best that my bro destroyed the PC game. Because, I love it to death, but Rayman is the most difficult game I've ever played (and the funnest)!! I would never, EVER, in a MILLION YEARS, be able to even get past Pink Plant Woods on a PC let alone beat the game on PC. If I'd started on PC, chances are Rayman would have been ruined for me.

Sorry about that. I'm on mobile and it's kind of glitchy. Not much of a clue what I'm doing right now, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Hello! I'm new here, so I have a few questions. (Lol, busted my gut at the Deadpool reference!)
1. What are Tings used for on this site?
2. How do I change my profile picture?
I apologize greatly if this is the wrong place to ask.

1: Tings are the forums currency. You gain 5 tings per post, and people can donate them to one another. The more you have, the higher your rank.MisterDark'sFanClub wrote:Hello! I'm new here, so I have a few questions. (Lol, busted my gut at the Deadpool reference!)
