It's so neat so see that, it only goes to show how much of Rayman 2 was left on the cutting room floor, for better or for worse.
I find it interesting how Ancel has never talked about Rayman 2's scrapped content, usually developers do that sort of thing. Maybe this can be a question brought up at the next interactive livestream, hoping of course that there will be one.

Nice find GOT4N! The first half is definitely new.
There are a lot of quotes that sound like typical RPG quotes, spoken by the supporting cast right before the final battle. There seem to be a lot of characters though, more than in the final version. Plus, every character definitely seems to have his/her distinctive way of speaking. I like that a lot!
Let's guess who everyone is, shall we?
- "Go for it, Rayman! You can do it!"
This sounds a lot like Ly.
- "Take him out and we'll finally be free!"
Murfy, maybe?
- "We're all with you, little buddy!"
Definitely Clark. He calls you "little buddy" all the time.
- "Win, and I'll melt my gold to make a statue of you!"
That's a scrapped character... or maybe Jano?
- "I've taught you well. Don't let me down!"
Murfy, or a scrapped character. If I wrote this, it would be spoken by a very respectable "master" who teaches Rayman all of his moves. It's Ly who teaches Rayman his moves in the final version though, and I don't think she'd talk to Rayman like this. Murfy is possible, as he is Rayman's "instructor" during the game. I'm not sure about this being him, though. Somehow, I can barely picture him saying this.
- "You are the greatest hero I have ever known!"
This could very well be the Globox girl who likes Rayman so much in Rayman Revolution!
- "We'll be dancing to bring you luck!"
Another Globox kid, probably, or maybe Uglette. It could be Globox himself, too, but I'm assuming he was already meant to be kidnapped before the final battle.
I'd like to point out that the "Did you remember to say goodbye to Ly?" could also be spoken by Razorbeard right after Rayman's final conversation with Ly, and right before the battle. That way, it might not imply any strong feelings between Rayman and Ly, although I would be very happy if it did!
I'm also wondering, is the "piranha farm", and the "witch Ly, presently languishing in the pirate stronghold, will be made to walk the plank at dusk" text present in the game? I remember the rest from various in-game signs, but I don't seem to remember those two. I'm guessing they're from an earlier stage in development, where the Robo-Pirates were, you know, more pirate-y.

For the 1, yeah probably sounds like Ly

Same for 2
Same for 3
For 4 it's Jano for sure, I don't think a scrapped character
For 5 I really think it's Ly although it's weird

That is true, even the L'Histoire of Rayman didn't reveal a lot about the R2 development sadly.

Thanks guys! Also, not that interesting, but RibShark got idea to check Mac version and I did same, so he find something, I'll let him post his finding

Named evil_shadow.gf, looks like the skeletons from Rayman 2
There's more of course, but I'll leave ribshark post them ;D
PS: The Mac version was built a month before Windows version (9 december for Mac and end of january for Windows)

Interesting. It seems that the Blue Lums weren't just invented for the portable R3: they were about to be included in the home console versions aswell. The second texture seems to be from a Zombie Chicken in particular, but with eyes.

More mac textures, those are REALLY interesting. I'll check some again, but a
HUGE THANKS to RibShark who got idea to check mac version, I may check Origins version

Named mar_dirigible.gf, looks like a hand glider, found in Bog of Murk

Named mar_gate.gf, it's definitely a gate ^_^

Named Crow_Body, dunno what it could be, it's a scrapped character probably

Named mar_clock1.

The most interesting!
Woogla texture!
There's definitely more character scrapped in texture, but I'll leave to Rib' but I'll do it in some hours if he don't do it

And the 3 wooden boxes are also named e3_XXX

Also, guys, I found an odd thing, make an empty file with .sav extension, place it in Rayman 3 save folder, load it, the file will load, and for me it loaded FC2, and for ribshark it loaded FC3 with score 12606536 cages 152764496, completely dafuq.
