The strawberry costume in Rayman M was another variation on this theme.

Bad Rayman and Dark Globox are actually the real Rayman and Globox. Rayman and Globox are the doppelgangers and they pretend to be the real ones, which ruined BR and DG's lives and which is why they hate their clones.
